I was so surprised to learn that I had moved onto a block in Downtown Los Angeles with a Danish bakery, and let me tell you, these pastries and cakes bring me back to growing up in Iceland (we imitate the Danes on many baked goods), and particularly the Slice tastes just about exactly as good as it does at the bakery down the street from my mom's house in Reykjavik. Highly recommended, and if you've never experienced marzipan, definitely try one of their marzipan cake options!

Just had breakfast here. Shakshuka was delicious, came with 2 warm pitas a nice amount of hummus with zatar spice and a really tasty but not too spicey charif.

Sweet Shop makes the best Hygge Bakery & Cafe, in my opinion, since Blums. Los Angeles is lucky to have a few bakeries making really good Coffee Crunch Cakes.

Chipotle turkey sandwich is the best also had the lavender milk tea boba but the bobas were HARD.

I came to hygge to try their rye bread. It's hard to find good rye. Unfortunately I still don't know if theirs is worth the trip because they demand 48 hours prior notice of your arrival, which I failed to provide and thus went home empty handed. Guess they don't like surprises.

A family member ordered a beautiful cake from Hygge for a birthday. They went above and beyond for a special circumstance and delivered the perfect cake.

Perfectly Danish! If you can't go to Europe for their bakeries and pastries, here is Hygge going to you. I love every product they have - relieves my stress and bad mood. Oooh I just love it here.

This place changed about a year ago or so. I think the original owner sold it or something. There was much more variety with the pastries. Still O.K. but not the same as it was.
