I’ve had thousands of pastries if not more in my lifetime and was expecting the standard pastry taste. Wow, did they blow my socks off with how unbelievable delicious they were. Amazing place, pastries will never be the same for me. He even gave us a pastry on the house

Very impressed by the owner who showed great sensitivity to his customer's needs.

He made it a point to make sure I was satisfied and when he discovered that I had been waiting, he made it a point to give me a free pastry (which was a delicious chocolate croissant).

Considerate customer service always makes for a positive experience.

This place is amazing! Not only the food is great, but also the service. I called to special order a fruit tart cake. I was worried that the that 6in cake was not going to be enough for 8 people so the owner recommended me 8 mini fruit tarts and they came out so beautiful!! He went the extra mile and added letters for me! I definitely recommend this place!

I ate here some months ago and noticed the food was not Scandinavian. I inquired and was told it changed ownership. It’s Hope St. Cafe & Bakery, not Hygge.

They really should change the name and online results because it’s deceptive for anybody who goes all the way there for Scandinavian food.

On the day of my shower, as I was running around setting things up before my guests arrived, I turned around to see Hygge Bakery & Cafe husband walking in WITH THE MOST BEAUTIFUL CAKE I HAVE EVER SEEN IN MY ENTIRE LIFE!!!!!!Hygge Bakery & Cafe NAILED it. It was exactly what I had envisioned, if anything, it was BETTER!!!! I actually screamed from excitement after seeing the cake. It was the showpiece of my shower decor. Everyone wanted to take a picture of it or with it! The fun thing was that it was completely fake and I was able to keep the whole thing!!! I plan on using this cake for every single birthday for the rest of my life honestly. IT'S THAT PRETTY!

Best. Cookie. Ever.That's it, really.Perfect consistency, decadence, and proportion of chocolate to dough.I wish they had a KC without nuts but that's not worthy of taking a star away.I had the KC with walnuts and my husband had the peanut butter choc cookie and both were out of this world and I consider myself a cookie connoisseur. Worth the calories and 7 miles I walked to get there.

Went for the first time yesterday and I am going back today. The pastries were fantastic and the cappuccino was very good. It was just like going to a pastry shop in Europe. If you want a touch of Europe, this is the place!

Great place to enjoy a nice cup of coffee, relax and listen some nice jazz music. Very safe and peaceful!

My wife and I have a loft around the corner at Elleven and love the pastries and cakes at Hygge. The quality is excellent and the variety very good. Your idea of "Danish" will never be the same. Go, and enjoy!!!

Everyone there is so nice! They truly do care about their customers and it is so nice. The food is very good and I even asked for something they didn't have on their menu and made it perfectly! Love it.
