Went to have breakfast with my wife and child. You seat yourself. The guy who brought the menus did not greet us or smile at us. Then server came. Same story. No smile. Cut to the chase.
Food is OK. Nothing super special. Just average.
I didn't see the owner. Unless she is the person sitting in a corner table by herself not smiling or interacting with anyone. I've of the waitress called her Mama. So not sure.
In any case. It's ok overall but would not come here again if I'm looking for something special.

Not a fancy place, it's plain-looking. However, the food is delicious, and the service is excellent with friendly people. The chorizo special is something to say, wow about!

This is a very late post. My husband and I visited this cafe while we were on vacation and it was absolutely spectacular. The staff was amazing, the portions are fantastic and it is incredibly affordable. Nearly a year later and I still can't stop thinking about how good my meal was at Jackie's. 10 out of 10!

I been coming here for years. Dining in as well as take out. Food is always great. Servers are always pleasant. No complaints!

I try to be aware and open minded but after 15 minutes for the waitress to return to return and she did not but greeted a four person party that just walked in with smiles and “ how can I help you?”. I am biracial but look white, but with the fact that it’s a Hispanic business with Hispanic staff, and all customers where Hispanic I felt slighted, I pray that was not the case. But who knows these days of crazy.

Customer service was not good they overlook you a mates of serving . The food is not as good you can probably cook better at home it’s not flavored it was the first and last time I’ll be going to that place and plus it isn’t as nice place .

Great food, love the California Benedict, and today's plating had lots of sliced avocados. The coffee was rich, and the OJ was refreshing. My wife ordered oatmeal with brown sugar & milk with a side of white toast and coffee. Our waiter was attentive and pleasant. He checked to make sure we had everything we wanted and refilled our coffees. The only negative would be the woman who took our drink orders. She was abrupt and turned away from me after I asked for a small OJ before I could also ask for coffee.

Food was good. My server was lousy. No smile, did not check to see if I needed anything, brought my food, never saw her again until she left the check.
I left her a 38 cent tip. I will not go there again.

This place has potential, but needs a lot of work. It is very obvious that the entire family who works at this place is pressured into working here, because, well - it's a family owned restaurant. They don't seem happy, it shows in their customer service. The mom and older daughter definitely seem like they are doing you a favor in serving you when in reality, you are paying for service. It does take a while to get drinks/food, the seating is tight and the upkeep of the place itself isn't the best. Last time I was there, there were no curtains, but what looked like scrap fabric sloppily hung over windows. The food is good, not amazing, but good. You should give it a try, if your expectations on customer service and comfort, as far as environment goes, are not too extravagant. 🤞🏻
