This is place is really good, I personality very ignorant with indian food but I like to enjoy myself with comfort food and this place really kicks in for me. The food is great, the workers are friendly and thats all I can say from my experience. For a small indian place this made me a fan of indian food. Highly recommend to everyone to try it and enjoy

The food was quick and hot which is very convenient but decent food. Restroom was closed. Tables were spotty.

Love going here to go some food fairly priced Indian food. Staff very friendly and always welcoming. They will also let you try something before getting it and have a daily special of both veggie and chicken options.

Employees are very friendly. Some of the food hit the spot. However, the Chicken tikka masala I ordered was very watery and should have been reduced further, and the 'chai' tea tasted like Lipton black tea with milk, and was missing the spices associated with the word chai. Despite dining in, the food was served in/with styrofoam and plasticware, and there was no option to recycle (which I found sad given how close the restaurant is to the Pacific Ocean which is accumulating plastic waste, and because several other restaurants in the area have served me food in similar fashion despite being in a state considered to be environmentally progressive).

Great place all around. Sort of a hidden gem in IV. Their garlic naan is the best. The owners are great as well, very friendly people and great service. Just had a sample of their green tea smoothie/milkshake and will definitely be back to get one. Don't be afraid to try the food too, you can sometimes get a small sample to try first and everything I've gotten has been good (:

Really good food, new prices are steep. The restaurant is hot no air conditioning. Super busy. They need to hire more help. Some of the staff have no people skills or technological know how. That’s certainly ok but don’t make me feel bad because you don’t know how to work your pos system. Also forgot my naan bread.

We ordered 3 different entree which cost us $50. When we got it, it didn't come with rice or anything. I called the restaurant 3 times asking them why I didn't get rice and the guy rudely said that's just how it is and hung up on me. The lamb was over cooked and it tasted as if it was previously frozen and heated as if it's newly cooked. I absolutely question all the good reviews here. Giving this place 1 star is VERY generous.

This is the only Indian-ized restaurant in the Isla Vista area and, without competition, they seem to take the customers for granted.
The customer service at Naan Stop leaves a lot to be desired. Urmil Pujji, the host, continued being rude to customers, often confronting them with her own questions/snide remarks even if they asked genuine questions.
For a customer with a kid in front of us, who said her kid didn't like the tea she ordered and that she wants to order a new one (ready to pay again), she said she can't help it coz that's what they ordered.
She was making comments about the orders our friends were making, telling them you can't carry all the food yourself, and that she won't take just an order of hot tea. When a payment wouldn't go through and the customer was asking what's going on, she asked, "Am I lying"?
It is surprising that a business like this that's been around for 2 decades forgets that they need to be nice to the customers at the very least.

Naan stop is fantastic! The people are super friendly and generous, and the food is absolutely spectacular. Best chicken tikka masala I’ve ever tried. This is your sign to go here
