Wow wow wow. I drove here from Irvine after reading a blurb in the LA times about top coffee spots in LA. I got a volcano latte, my fiancé got a vanilla or other. Both were the best we’d ever had. Thus, I had to go back and try something else. Right then. I got a matcha latte and mannnnn that was good. If this place wasn’t a 30 min drive I’d be going every day.

Serving great coffee from various places. Including some excelente Geisha coffee from Panamá. Nice gourmet donuts. Playful vibe and staff is super friendly.

Small, quaint coffee shop with playful elements. Great service and friendly staff.
Will be coming back here again 🙂

Is there an option to give more than 5 stars? I love love love this place. The flavor of the espresso is incredible. They make an artisanal beverage with every detail done right - temperature, foam. Leon and Ben are fantastic and provide the best service. HIGHLY recommend this spot.

I saw their Instagram was poppin' so I decided to try it out. The aesthetic is so cute. The decor is playful, bright and vibrant, definitely Giving me 90s mod vibes. I got the volcano latte and one of the pastries. The sweetness level was high and the pastry was so flakey, the barista described it as like a croissant but with an orangey glaze. The staff was so friendly, answered all my questions. There is a parking lot and the menu is decent sized. Definitely want to try the shakerato.

Awesome coffee shop! The cortado (not on the menu) was awesome. Also, it's very rare to find a great coffee shop that's open past 5pm.

Auto 5 stars for having one of the best restrooms I have ever been in. Why? Actual quality toilet paper. I’ve been in 5 star hotels with worse TP. Drinks are okay, decor is pretty cool. Outlets are at every table and strong air conditioning. 5/5 would study here again.

This shop really deserves a 5 star rating.
First off the owner knows a lot about coffee and is willing to share knowledge and help on different coffees he provides from all around the world.
It’s almost like going into a fancy wine store and picking out different wines to experiment but with coffee.
Play coffee provides a wonderful experience for coffee lovers. I’ve enjoyed coffee even more than I have just because of this shop.
Employees here to always seem to be nice and in a happy helpful mood.
Let’s just say overall I live 40 min away from this place and I’m willing to make the trip 2-4 times a week. Even more if I could.

i don’t say this lightly, play coffee is the best coffee shop i’ve ever been to. i’m a very big connoisseur of cafés. i regularly do coffee crawls across southern california and i can confidently say this is the only spot i would ever want to go to if it was closer to me. everything from the atmosphere, the service, the attention to detail with each cup, and the wonderful roasters they work with creates what is truly, the perfect coffee shop ❤️
