Mimi's Cafe

I have always loved Mimis breakfasts and lunches and my husband says their eggs Benedict is the best he has tasted here in our city. Their ice tea is fresh brewed the way I like - not the soda fountain tea that some places have. Mimi's employees are always very polite and friendly. We enjoy great service and great food every time we go to this restaurant - which is several times a month.

The wait staff are great, very friendly and attentive. However, a few things bothered me: 1) The restaurant has an old, sour, greasy smell when you first walk in, typical of other old restaurants I’ve been to; 2) The lunch meal I had was awful, a Quiche Lorraine. It is a ready-made frozen pie that the staff microwaved too long, making the crust along the edge hard and inedible and the crust on the bottom mush. Also, the wait staff didn’t ask what kind of dressing I wanted on my salad, and I forgot to ask, so I ended up with a salad smothered in cheap, gooey, inedible Italian dressing. 3) The decor in the entryway is old and beat up. A little furniture polish would go a long way towards improving first impressions.

Haven’t been to Mimi’s in a while. I was anticipating a hearty diner but was disappointed. I ordered fish and chips. It was less than impressive. I would been better off heating up some frozen fish sticks at home.

Over all the food was great it was Flavorful food just the customer service was extremely slow otherwise everything was good.

Food is ok. Which honestly is good, excpet the prices for this food are ridiculous. $9 for 3 eggs? What kind of joek is this? $18 for a breakfast plate that was overcooked? I doubt it was an accident. Taste was ok, but I wouldn't come back here for those prices.

Edit: Decided not worth going back. Would not recommend anyone to this place. Food doesn't anywhere near justify the price.

Avacado... hard as a rock, omelet so-so. Should have ordered the French onion soup!

We always enjoy Mimi's. Could use a good carpet cleaning.

The food was good. It's nice knowing you'll always get the same thing every time. Service was lacking. There was only one server for the whole area and it was busy. That poor girl was run ragged. But she always smiled and took a second for a quick chat. I like Mimi's.
