My review of Philz as a place to get work done: It can get busy, but only to about 80% capacity. The friendly baristas make it one of my favorite spots. This place easily tops the list in terms of friendliness. I get great vibes in terms of the ambiance and I always get the feeling I'm getting a lot done. They also have really great wi-fi. It's a great idea to bring a jacket though, because it gets cold. But that's a small quibble compared to everything else you get here. Oh, and the coffee is great.

Decent drinks and great overall vibe, but their ordering setup is too inefficient so it takes way too long to order and again to get your drinks, especially when it gets a little busy. But you might end up waiting 10 minutes just to order even when there's like 3-5 people in line.

First time I had Philz was 2012 when I was a student at San Jose State. I haven't had Philz since I graduated... Until I discovered they expanded down here to the OC! Still as potent as I remembered. Quality coffee. Friendly baristas. Cool environment. I even met Phil himself last week on Valentine's Day. Great guy!

I got a mint mojito from here and it was HEAVENLY. The worker Ashley was really nice and helpful with our order. Would %100 recommend!

Really don't understand how the reviews are high, must be reviews on the coffee itself. Flew in passed by to sit for a cup of coffee. Literally the longest wait time 20+ mins for a bland cup of coffee.

Shout out to Philz Decaf House Blend! I switched to decaf during my pregnancy and a cup of Philz House Blend gave me the experience of a delicious, full-bodied cup without all the caffeine. The best part is this location is on my way to work. I can put in an online/app order on my phone in my garage and the order will be ready by the time I walk in the shops door.

Yay for Philz! Love the coffee. glad there is one in the OC.
Let's take a look.
Pros:
+I'm a big fan of Philz Coffee options ever since I had them in the Bay Area. Lots of choices for all types of coffee lovers that can be sweetened. My favorites include the mint mojito, the rose, the Tesora and the Dancing Water. For a drink, it's not too pricy (like $4-5ish). Also cheers for text receipts!
+I actually like some of the food at Philz and the options. Some food options like quinoa to avocado toasts and protein breakfast bowls. Also, these items aren't too pricy (overall like $3-6ish).
+Service is super friendly here like all other locations. They'll happily explain the drinks; help you with your drinks and are happy to chat.
+The decor is nice with white walls and a modern look. WiFi isn't too bad for the most part and I believe there are some limited outlets (although as you'll see below, this runs into how busy this place gets).
Cons:
-This place definitely gets super busy. Seating is a bit tough although you'll usually find something either indoors or outdoors. Lots of different seat options from sofas to high tops but do expect a very busy atmosphere. This extends to the line as well.
-The busy atmosphere extends to the parking. Can be a bit tough to find parking in the small parking lot they have just as a heads-up.
-Finally, I've had a couple experiences where the server has forgotten a drink which with how busy this place gets, I totally understand. Just don't be surprised by a few hiccups and bumps.

After traveling to places like Seattle and trying coffee in different countries, I still love coming home to California because nothing beats the service and quality of this place. I used to go to the one in Huntington Beach, and I was so sad when I moved and it was too long of a drive when there was traffic. Now that theres one closer to me, I'm here all the time. It made my whole week to know there was now a closer location. Thank you so much for making the best coffee.

We are Philz fans who usually go to Long Beach or Huntington Beach, however this location has served us watered down versions of our favorite coffee every time we have visited this location. We were in the area and decided to skip Philz today. The other locations have much higher standards of excellence.
