Philz Coffee

Not a regular coffee shop. They do not make espresso-based coffee, but each cup is brewed fresh after you order the coffee blend that you would like to drink.

A bit wait time when we visited, but when we first got the coffee, it tasted delicious. Wait time is of course because the coffee must be brewed first.

Weird vibe, really up front about trying to talk to people about law enforcement/“blue lives” - not really the spot for me personally. Chai was super watery and tasteless. Bummer, I wanted to like this spot.

Ordered a coffee and bagel with cream cheese. The Jacob's Wonder Bar is supposed have a chocolate taste to it but it was just a bitter coffee with no body or aroma. I guess they're too busy to spread the cream cheese on my bagel for me. Bagel was cold by the time I got done preparing my food. What did I pay for ? Pacific City location was much better.

Nice coffe, nice location. Good place to have a talk with friends by grabbing a cup of coffee.

Mint Mojito with Almond Milk, get it, you're welcome. very friendly staff, pretty nice atmosphere. parking may be an issue during weekends because so many people are there.. but I will still go if I'm at South Coast Plaza and need extra coffee fix.

I would always visit Philz when I visit California. This was probably the best Mint Mojito I’ve had in a while.

Love the coffee. Whenever I’m in town I get the iced mocha tesora, and pick up a few bags of beans.

While most places realize masks aren't effective Philz will refuse you service if you CHOOSE not to wear one. The only place locally that seems to make it a big deal. Gladly walked away and don't plan to be back.

First time here! Never knew this place was here and I am so glad I tried it! Not only was the rose iced coffee i ordered delicious, the customer service was amazing. they were very kind down to earth and personable! The cashier recommended the rose flavor and I’m glad I went with his recommendation:) I will most certainly be back!

The coffee is GREAT. love the atmosphere here, there's plenty of seating inside as well as an outdoor patio. The baristas were all friendly and kind. Got the Silken Splendor, medium cream and sugar, and it was amazing. Literally the best cup of coffee I've ever had. Perfect amount of sugar and cream, and so smooth.
