I was exploring the area with my wife after visiting the marina and came across Rambler Coffee. The colors and style of the Rambler Motel caught our attention and when my wife saw they had a coffee shop, she was very intrigued so we headed over. Once inside, the place seemed very clean. The young woman behind the counter was very nice and made our drinks well. Other than coffee, there’s a fridge area with a good selection of snacks. Also, a freezer with American and Mexican ice cream favorites. There’s a little arcade area of retro games and an amazing wall art of a license plate. The place looks well maintained inside and out. There’s a pool outside but I didn’t take pictures because people were swimming and didn’t want to enter creeper status. We would definitely come back for coffee if in the area again.

The best café south of the 54 freeway.
They have craft ice teas, and they are perfect for people who like unsweetened iced tea.
The food is pleasantly simple. I would recommend getting the sandwiches.
Memorable customer service and Vietnamese coffee.

A nice diner spot for an early coffee and something light to eat. The decor of the place is cool along with the old school arcade games. Parking was good. Staffing was short (1 woman wrecking crew) when I came so it took a little time to get our coffee and food. My chai tea and avocado toast were worth the wait.

I needed a quick coffee and saw this adorable coffee shop online and had to drop in. You’ll feel like you’re walking through a portal from how nice it looks on the inside. The area that Rambler Coffee is in doesn’t do it any justice. I’m the coffee was great and I was very pleased to sit in and enjoy the ambience for a little while!

The coffee was not great tbh. But the place has beautiful interiors. Great design.. Also they have arcade games to play and a Foosball table. Expect a high wait time if you order a sandwich but I dont blame them since both the times we went, there was just one person working. And it is not open 24hours.

I’ll definitely come back here. We happened upon it by chance heading back up to LA, and let me say, the location is amazing. It is so peaceful there and it has a great view of the ocean and nature while you enjoy your coffee. It was easy to get there to and from the freeway, so bonus points for that.
The inside was absolutely adorable. I loved the way it looked and I definitely wanted to play the arcade games and I would have if I had more time. The whole mid century vibe works so well, especially attached to the motel. I’m especially in love with the bright colors.
The coffee was great! It wasn’t the best I’ve had, but it’s leagues better than most coffees in the area unless you head all the way down to San Diego, which is definitely not convenient for when you’re on the go. The peppermint mocha I got wasn’t super sweet, and the peppermint wasn’t overwhelming. We asked for the other coffee extra hot and to my surprise they did make it extra hot.
Lastly, the service was amazing. I tried to tip the barista but because she was a manager she couldn’t accept it. Either way. She was friendly and very helpful.
What a wonderful coffee shop! I only wish I lived closer.

This place is fun with a decent amount of seating - both high and low tables inside and out. They have some things like fruit bowls, avocado toast before 11am, and other non-vegan items. The iced americano was good. Arcade games and an outlet at each of the tall indoor tables. Wifi is solid.

It was a really nice experience. I came to do some work in a aesthetically pleasing environment and I was not disappointed.
Everything was good, from my coffee to the avocado toast. 🥑
Definitely recommend.

It’s not exactly a public coffee shop. It’s a coffee shop in a motel, so nothing fancy. Coffee was good but we took chicken pesto sandwich which was not at all good, it felt like packed ones or frozen and warmed.
