I'm pretty sure I have written a bad review for this place before. But here is another one. If I could give this place negative stars for the worst customer service ever. I would. Not only were the breakfast sandwiches cold, cheese not melted and the croissant not toasted. We pulled up behind someone else in line. But when we got to the window they had apparently stopped wanting to serve customers. We waited thinking maybe they were busy finishing something up in the back. They weren't by the way. We could hear there gossiping from the window. I yelled hello trying to be polite to get there attention. Eventually we had to honk the horn at them. That's when they came to the window and apologized for not knowing we were there. I know they heard us bc everytime I would try to get there attention by talking to them from the window they would stop talking and get quite. Literally the only time we come here is once in a blue and usually for the breakfast sandwiches. And everytime something goes wrong with food and always the customer service. Which is why we never go here! Please hire some better employees.
THIS IS SPECIFICALLY THE PLACE ON THE CORNER OF ESPLANADE, & EAST AVE. I'll never go back again. I'LL STIVK WITH THE FRIENDLY CARING EMPLOYEES AT THE JAVA ON MANGROVE & E. FIRST. AVE. So, the staff are extremely rude! I have been going to this one & the one on mangrove for well over 13 years, & I've never been treated so poorly. The "manager" Tori couldn't even treat me with basic customer service respect. They were very rude, & not professional at all! I've never had such a horrible experience at this, or any coffee shop ever. So, when I first came thru, I'd ordered an xl hot mocha & asked that the shots be fresh, & pulled right when they are ready, that is $5.05. They gave me a large hot mocha, & charged me $5.40, which is for an xl blended, I believe. I didn't even say anything, I just asked for the extra large hot mocha that I'd ordered, & let them keep the extra change. And I left. It tasted horrible. The shots were over cooked, while 2 of the 3 girls in there were chatting at one of the busiest times of the day. So when I came back to talk to them when it was slower, that was when the manager was extremely rude, tried to shut the door in my face, & refused to remake my coffee so I had to drive to the one on Mangrove to get my coffee.
stopped by today for a mocha and to my shock no employees were wearing masks also noticed the straws they were handing out had no paper covers I decided to not purchase anything Will not be back

Java detour is the best coffee. The baristas make the drinks of the heavens, their food is awesomely delicious. Every one is always friendly.
