This is the place to go if you want really well prepared food...breakfast and lunch...they close at 2. Always packed and for good reason. Grlilled turkey reuban with
homemade potato salad is wonderful.Biscuits and gravy are yummy.French dip excellent. Daily specials with homemade soups like split pea and house desserts. Brings to mind the 50-60s full service cafes.Only bad note..closed during summer months.Do yourself a favor a drop by and then you can return before it gets too hot.

So I have gone to Michael's cafe plenty of time most times I enjoy it the staff is friendly and the food is good but I went in today ordered a BLT which comes with a pickle after being half way done with my sandwich I notice something in my pickle THERE WAS SOMETHING MOVING IN IT!!!! I told my waitress and she was just like oh I'm not sure how that happened and gave us our check went to pay and told the hostess about the incident and asked for them to at the least remove the BLT off of our check and she did but when she hands me the check she says in a VERY sarcastic tone here is that better for you....uuuummm are you serious there was something moving in our freaken pickle the whole check should've been comped. ..but what I said to her in the same tone was yes that's much better thanks! NEVER GOING BACK AGAIN!!!!

I enjoyed this older style diner. Best pickle ive had in ages, too. And i make pickles! Good service, food exact as ordered. Gets busy with late morning crowd.

It really amazes me how these small businesses nickel and dime you if you want a substitute something. I prefer going to a restaurant that tries to accommodate the customer. Good restaurant if all you want is what's on the menu.

I've been coming here for 20 years. It's my breakfast/lunch regular. Staff is wonderful and most have been there for years. Take the time to get to know them a little and you'll be hooked.

Mom wanted french toast. However they made it with Texas toast so she ended up not ordering that but biscuits and gravy and a pancake instead. I had a pastrami sandwhich which was piled high with pastrami but just didn't taste as good as Manhattan Deli, where I usually go to for pastrami. The potatoe salad was good.

It was crowded the day we went so we went and sat at counter. First seats, they had some frigerator near by which was too loud, making way too much contant noise, so we moved to a different location at the counter, then it was drafty and cold with the front door being opened and closed. I didnt want to make my Mom mad so didn't move. Next time need to wait for a booth.

Nice and clean. Friendly staff. Nice selection of good food. Will be back.

Your basic American coffee shop that has good breakfast choices. Bring Fido. They allow pets on their covered patio. If you like Marilyn Monroe memorabilia, this is your place.

Forget about the good food or service you may have received from this place in the past. We went with family to celebrate a birthday this morning and were greeted by ignorance and poor service. I'm not sure where the owners were, or perhaps the place has sold and changed hands, but certainly not for the better. I'm not likely to ever return, I would encourage you to giving it serious consideration before attempting to eat there.
