The Birds Cafe

Parking was fine when we arrived around noon. We got two orders of clam chowder and fish n chips (3 pieces) to share for two people. The order was just right for us, and was worth the price. The view was mostly shrubs, with a bit of a view of the bay. The staff were extremely friendly, almost overbearingly so, but I liked that they were being cordial. The chowder was seasoned great and not too clammy (which is a plus for me, though I know that's debatable). The chowder could have been thicker, according to my friend, but after spending a week in Boston eating New England clam chowder to find a good one, and never finding one this tasty, I will surely be back here in the future. Fish could have been crispier, but was still tasty, and the chips were great. I may try other places in the future in Bodega, but this cafe has left a solid first impression.

Quaint Cafe with outdoor seating (only) right off the water. I have been here a few times and it is a great and simple lunch spot. Most of the menu consists of fish and chips, tacos and salad. Get a drink , some fish and chips ans relax outside. The food is good but mostly fried (I haven't tried the salads yet). It's perfect after a beach trip. This place is dog friendly as well. Overall, worth checking out for lunch

I'm a regular and I live in SF. The fish and chips is the best I know in California.

We had the fish & chips and shrimp tacos and bother were delicious. The fish had a nice crispy coating and wasn't too greasy. The staff were friendly. You could hear sea lions barking off in the distance, but we weren't able to spot them.

Great roadside spot to grab a yummy lunch and relax. Their patio is huge and has covered seating in case the sun makes an appearance. Dog friendly, great service, clean and well cared for. We ordered chowder, fish and chips and more for a fraction of the price you'd pay at other spots in town.

Great little spot. Right on the main road with a nice view of the Bay. Outside seating only. Prawns and fish are yummy.

Tiny gem in Bodega Bay. Few and simple choices but fast, fresh, well-executed. Lovely open air seating overlooking bay, and dogs welcome!

Fantastic food and friendly staff at a great location, the artichoke fritters were some of the best fried food I've had in my life. One of the owners came out for a chat and it was great to hear the story of how the café came to be! We'll be back!

Great clam chowder and shrimp tacos. You order at a window and then go sit outside on the deck overlooking Bodega Bay. Great little spot.

spoke with someone over the phone at this business and she said they have the best fish and chips in the area. having tried some other places in bodega bay, i decided to test this claim. it's actually true! excellent, fast service and wonderful packaging of to-go order. food was fantastic. zero criticism of food. my only issue with the place is that there was an employee in the kitchen who kept touching his face mask, which made me cringe a little bit. i would only hope that the management continue to encourage their employees to practice proper COVID safety and hygiene. regardless, i will definitely be back. the birds cafe is a fantastic place
