The Birds Cafe

It's not cheap. Very nice views and friendly service. BBQ oysters that fresh are a thing of beauty and eating them while overlooking that view is worth every penny. The fish tacos are a little dry.

The food was good. Lots of fried options but also some salads, though those were sold out. They let you mix and match from the menu which is nice. And decent beer selection as well. Nice patio with a view of the bay. Also they have BBQ oysters. Not my thing but the in-laws said they were good.

Many trips under my belt to bodega bay. Have my favorite spots to eat but thought we'd try something new. WOW. Truly deeply terrible. Ordered fish n chips, and clam chowder.
The highlight: The fries were ok.
The "chowder" was flavorless water consistency. No exaggerating. Full on liquid, nothing resembling chowder. White, flavorless liquid. LIQUID.
We each took a few bites, added tons of hot sauce and black pepper in an attempt to create flavor, and gave up. Of the 4 other couples on the patio, 3 of the others also returned thier uneaten chowder to the window. Staff rolled thier eyes!!! So rude!!!
Fish n chips were also terrible. Fish was so overcooked it could be considered jerky.
$40 of complete garbage. Bleck. Ew. Never again.

We had a pretty bad experience here and the staff were quite rude after realizing they lost our ticket. After 30+ minutes of not receiving our food and seeing everyone who ordered after is receive theirs, we went to the window to ask about the status of our oysters. The person at the counter kept saying just said to wait for our name to be called instead of checking on our order. After we asked a refund they finally admitted they lost our ticket. When they brought the food out they basically shoved it in my wife's hands when she wasn't even ready to grab it. I understand that sometimes people get pushy when their food doesn't come out right away, but this clearly wasn't that situation. We would have understood if they had just admitted up front that they lost our ticket, but instead they rudely brushed us off until we asked for a refund.

Delicious fish and chips. Employees wearing masks and cleaning tables after every use. Felt very safe and clean restrooms too.

Came here on a busy Friday. It was a long wait just to order but once the order was in, service was good and fast. All outdoor seating and dog friendly. I loved the classic mocktails on offer (Shirley Temples and Roy Rogers). The fish and chips were good although not British style chips. The chowder was also decent. This would have been five stars but it just didn't justify a 45 minute wait to order.

Everything was HOT & FRESH! Artichoke Fritters we're fabulous! Fish tacos were great, but the PRAWNS FANTASTIC! 👏👏👏👏Bravo!

Nice outdoor seating.., oysters were good although some were on the small side. The flavors were good ,the onion rings were excellent

Chicken tenders and lemonade were very good, but I feel that the fries could have been a little better. I don’t know how they’re made here so I unfortunately can’t describe exactly how, but I’ve had ones that just seemed better quality over all. I’m probably being too picky here but I thought I’d post it anyways.
