Love the cappuccino and espresso here. Favorite cafe in the bay area! The coffee is rich, creamy and flavorful, its the type of coffee that makes you concentrate on the drink start to finish. The interior is clean and airy, but it can get a bit chilly with the AC so bring a sweater/jacket if youre planning to stay for a bit to work etc. The batistas are super friendly. Definitely recommend!

Co-Ro is consistently Awesome! Our cappuccinos were perfect! Perfectly brewed and prepared. Delicious with a lovely fan like design on the foam. The tall, thin, young man with dark hair who served me was extremely nice, helpful, and patient. He was very thoughtful when helping me decide on which coffee beans to purchase. I was a bit frazzled so I REALLY appreciated his calm and understanding demeanor. I appreciated not being judged or made to feel stupid for being a little frazzled (frazzled mostly because I hadn't had my coffee yet :) His calm, kind demeanor meant the world to me and it's little things like that that stay in your mind and make you want to keep coming back to a place!!

Nice to have new cafés in neighborhood. As mentioned by others , somewhat expensive. They do "pour-over" coffee, very trendy. I am not a fan of light and med roast(a bit sour for my taste) but if that's your jam you might enjoy it. Space is nice and next to Passione

Like the chill vibe and early morning sun. Love that the music is low-volume background. A little too quick to pick my un-emptied cappuccino cup that I was still savoring.

Great coffee love the concept of the place. Was there twice, seemingly popular with a steady flow. Enjoyed both visits. It will be my go to when in the area.

Great espresso, staff and vibe. Tops the chats in Berkeley for sure. Best part is taking home one of the various specialty roaster coffee beans that they sell.

Great coffee. Pretty much the only spot to get a good coffee in the neighborhood. Great place to pick up whole bean, quick bite or cup of tea

Granted, not everyone needs to drink their coffee where they roast it, CoRo does a great job making customers feel at home.
The staff is cordial and approachable - a rare trait in high end coffee shops - warmly welcoming everyone.
The ambiance is surprisingly cozy, with cushioned benches and stools overlooking the beautiful process behind your cup.
EDIT 11/16: I wasn't aware that the prices included gratuity and that tipping was not allowed: the prices reflect what you would pay at other great coffee shops while rewarding their amazing staff, who truly deserve it.
They have a short list of breakfast foods so don't expect too much.
Overall, a good experience despite their high prices.

As a student at UC Berkeley, I have tried tens of coffee places around Berkeley. Out of all the places I visited, CoRo Coffee is my favorite BY FAR.
Back in March, when I was not living in Berkeley, one of my family friends brought me a bag of Cortina Coffee from CoRo Coffee, which was roasted only a few days earlier. Those freshly roasted beans were just, insanely good...
I had been meaning to visit the shop ever since then, and was finally able to find some time and grab a coffee this morning. All I can say is that I'll be coming back (and grabbing more Cortina Coffee) next Saturday.
