J & M's Bar & Grill

Had a breakfast date w the hubby here. Not our first time. This is a nice, quaint restaurant. Nothing fancy but everything is great! The decor is cute and chic but simple. The food is cooked here, they're not frozen and heated up. It makes such a big difference compared to the big name restaurants. The price is good for all the food you get. We really enjoy their breakfast sausages and chicken fried steak the fact that they're home made and cooked there make them so much better 👌 The servers are very attentive and personable. We never have an empty glass. All the employees are always smiling which is great to see. The bathrooms are also clean. Overall, always a great experience and would always recommend for good food!

Had a birthday celebration for breakfast. I have lived in Bakersfield for 70 years & my first time here. Waitress Rebecca was awesome too. Food was excellent. Highly recommend this establishment.

Classic Rosedale restaurant been going to for many decades great atmosphere and great service can't really ask for anymore than that oh did I mention their biscuits and gravy are delicious probably the only place I know of that has a bacon-based gravy instead of sausage something I like and enjoy and look forward to

So saw the review by John Haberkern and said to myself, "if John likes it, I gotta try it". The breakfast was great and the service was very friendly. My only critique would be that they could add a little more sausage to the B's and G's, but really good flavor.
