A jewel along busy San Gabriel Ave is Mantra Coffee in Azusa. It looks like a little house with a beautiful front patio adorned with succulent plants. The fountain drowns out the traffic, whizzing by. Get yourself a delicious coffee or hot chocolate and something to eat. It’s so peaceful here, inside and out. I love coming here to work and bringing my reader daughter so she gets a cool alternative to the being in her room. The vibe includes students doing homework and friends meeting up for a good conversation. You’ll be relaxed once you leave here. I do! 😊

Can’t tell you how happy I am to have found this spot! There’s not many boutique like coffee shops around here that have a great space for studying, but Mantra totally fits the bill. Everyone who works there is so kind, people who work/study there are very respectful, too. Wi-Fi works great, coffee is great tasting too.
You can be here for hours at a time, and it’s totally fine. Lots of available seating inside and out - the patio and front garden areas are so peaceful, too! So much love for Mantra, and a great mission too.

Great place to hangout with some coffee and snacks at any time of the day. Consists of free library inside, take a book and leave a book kinda deal. Delicious coffee and other beverage options. Beautifully designed areas inside and out. Lots of comfortable places to just do your work and study if you wish to. Definitely recommend this place to all. Friendly staff for sure.

I don't usually go out for coffee or have coffee at all, but I came here to study and ordered an ice pear tea with agave and a salted chocolate chip cookie. Both were good and I'll be back for the atmosphere and kind people that work here. I enjoyed hanging out for a bit, I liked that there was an outlet nearby (even while sitting outside) in case I needed to charge my laptop, and it's a very laid back setting. Music isn't too loud, you can find your own little corner either inside or outside in the patio or garden to focus and relax for a bit. I also think the glassware/plates are really cool!

the cinnamon fig latte was really cozy. I also got the seed cookie which had a lot of nutrients. And it happened to be a day for the market, so there were artist booths in the back! Good cafe for working and banging out. They also have a free library and they donate part of their proceeds to LGBT resources 🏳️⚧️🏳️🌈

I’m so glad to have finally gone to Mantra Coffee! I live just across the river basin and have been looking for a local/small business coffee shop to support. Mantra Coffee is that spot.
The vibe inside is welcoming and colorful, with plenty of seating both inside and outside on their patio. I’ve only tried a vanilla latte and one of their special summertime drinks (cold brew with lemonade and lavender) but so far, everything has hit the spot. The menu includes the usual espresso drinks as well as tea and food (pastry) options.
If you’re nearby, definitely worth stopping by! Maybe even to meet up with someone, catch up, or just to read or study.

Can't say enough good things about this place. Arguably one of the best ham and cheese croissants I have ever had, great vibe both inside and in the outdoor patio, their coffee is super good, their chai is excellent and the staff is always on top of it.

First time visiting. So far I like everything about this shop. It's so cute. The patio area is amazing and the interior is classic. Justin was my barista, super nice and very helpful. I ordered the Dirty Chai, it was great. Dine in is available and it's probably in my head, but just being there made my beverage tasted so much better.
Paid another visit on 7/08/2021 and I ordered the lavender latte. Wow very tasty. I've had this drink at another coffee shop with some disappointment, however I must say it was better than expected. Very impressive Mantra. It was a perfect blend of coffee and lavender. Very smooth and elegant, not strong at all. Daniel, my barista, also recommended the house blend. Wow! Amazing. Thanks Daniel love it!

Love the house conversion to a coffee shop. Great outdoor area to make it more of a homey feel. Definitely a unique coffee spot.

I have found myself in Southern California (Azusa) for a short-term job and was thrilled to visit Mantra. As one who loves a good coffee/workspace, multiple people told me I would LOVE Mantra. My friends know me well, as it lived up to the hype. The vibe was welcoming and well-tended, the space was bright and inviting, and the coffee was delish.
I love the blatant LGBTQIA+ welcome, the pop-up books shelf, and the local feel. The staff was friendly and didn't blink an eye when this old dude with a clerical collar came strolling in. In this day and age of religious conservatism, I would not have blamed them for being a wee bit guarded, so if they were, well done for not showing it!
As long as I am in the area, this will def be one of my stops.
