Went here because my son wanted to see a plane take off and or land. We were also rewarded with delicious food and generous portions. I had the Cobb salad and it was loaded with bacon. Our server Katrina was super helpful and nice. Also a cheese burger, with a mountain of fresh crispy French fries. We also had a chicken pesto sandwich with a large portion of reach fruit on the side. The interiors has kitschy stuff with a old timely kitchen aesthetic. Would come back again. The outdoor area was too hot on the day we came but we did catch 3 Cessna take offs and a helicopter execute a sick approach and hover less than 20 feet off the deck.

We love Wings, it’s probably the reason we make Auburn a 2 night stop when traveling in our RV. Huge portions (today was half order of the ‘Spud Tacular’ sans salsa) & delicious! We love watching the planes & staff is really friendly. We enjoy sitting outside - plenty of seating & our chiweenie can be with us.

I was very surprised to see so many people in line waiting for a seat. My first visit was on a Friday at lunchtime. I ordered a burger and asked for medium well. The burger was very good, but cooked well. Our server was very nice and did a great job.
We returned the following morning for breakfast right when they opened. I ordered pancakes with eggs and bacon. Two of the three pancakes were cooked well, but the third pancake was slightly burnt on the bottom. We had the same server as the day before, and she was great. Great little restaurant if you are in the area.

This was my 1st time here & I was looking forward to the experience. We arrived at 11:45am & waited 15mins to be seated outside with no propane heat on (temperature were in the 40) Waiting 15mins for our orders to be taken. I stated to 1 of 2 servers working, you guys are short staffed today, she said no we're not angrily! They were packed inside & out and only had 2 servers who were also cleaning tables and taking payments; how can she possibly say that! At 12:35pm still no food, I found our server & stated we needed our food to go. We got our food, paid the check & left there at 12:50. The food was good, the servers & cooks work their butts off but the service is very slow.
They need to hire a hostess & a busser so the servers can considerate on customers. I have no desire to go back until they hire more people : /

For aviation and food lovers. This quiet little diner next to the Auburn airport is a walk down memory lane of a traditional airport diner. The food is fantastic! I've never had a bad meal here.
The service is first class. The staff are so friendly and inviting. Almost like eating at your best friends house.
Finally, the view... It's wonderful to be able to sit on their heated/shaded patio and watch the local aircraft fly in and out. It grew for plane spotting. Come here for breakfast or lunch and you will not be disappointed. I will often make a special trip from Sacramento just to eat here.

We ate lunch at Wings today. My 3 year old son loved seeing the airplanes while we were eating. He ordered the kids corn dog meal with a side of fruit, and I ordered a French dip sandwich. The price was reasonable and the portions were large. Our server, Rebecca, was friendly and provided great customer service.

The food was really good. Best breakfast sandwich I've had in Auburn, hands down. Not sure if they're understaffed, but it took a very long time to get my to-go order in. I would've ordered online, but you can't customize your order using their service. Still a great little place though. It's right up against the flight line. Super neat to find with aircraft literally withing arms reach.

We flew in for breakfast. They were already busy, a 10 minute wait and we sat in the patio. Then it took 45 minutes just to get food and with two small children that was miserable. But the staff was friendly and the food was good, especially their espresso menu coffee. Also we had trouble finding transient parking, it's the blue tie downs across from the restaurant. The ones right by the patio are for the flight school.

Staff was friendly as always. Wings was out of mushrooms, but substituted just about anything I wanted in its place, so not a problem. Was a nice morning to have a cup of coffee and watch some small aircraft and a helicopter take off or land while we were there. Always a pleasant visit.
