Onyx Coffee Lab - Rogers HQ

High ceilings, redeveloped interior, tons of seating inside and out, nice people, well taken care of. Not just a coffee shop, this is a destination.

I enjoyed everything about this local coffee shop. From the decor, the pastries, the different areas to sit, how friendly and educated the staff was to the most crucial part...the coffee. It was so good. Excited to take some home and continue drinking Onyx.

I went for their seasonal Cornucopia and it was a winner.

I was amazed the first time I walked into Onyx in downtown Rogers. It was even more beautiful and spacious than their most recent Bentonville location. I haven't been back downtown in a while, but before the pandemic, there was plenty of space to drink coffee and have snacks while meeting friends or working on your laptop.

Wow! This place is a special experience for a first-timer. We had a cappuccino and a mocha cold brew and they were both over-the-top good. The ambiance, the decor, the many creative seating options and the many young professionals working on computers looking oh-so-at-home there are all surprising, but wait! How entertaining is it for the downtown Rogers Frisco train to pass within just a few feet of the building, rattling the walls and windows not to mention that whistle. Ok, the smell of the roasting coffee you can watch over the bar counter is intoxicating. The staff all smiling and welcoming is comforting, but last and not least, I must mention the specialty items in the little store cubby ... I mean have you seen coffee flower honey? I haven't but betcha it's as special as the Onyx Coffee Lab itself! Wow!

The coffee is good but I’m not sure it’s worth the 30 minute wait. I ordered two coffees. One black and one lavender oat latter. The people who ordered before me ordered more coffee plus food and they got their order, finished, and left before I got my coffee. I sat there for 30 minutes and watched group after group get their coffee and they ordered well after me. I got one of my coffees 15 minutes before the other and it was cold by the time I got home. It was absolute waste of time. You could tell that the baristas knew they messed up but never offered any kind of apology.

After hearing everyone around me rave about onyx coffee my husband and I decided to go try it. I got the iced onyx delight and my husband got a iced mocha. We paid $12 and the cups were tiny my husbands tasted like watered down hot chocolate and mine tasted like watered down sugar milk definitely not worth the hype.

Pay your employees living wages. This is no longer a small local business. It has become a tax avoiding undercover multi million dollar corporation that has zero respect for the people who actually make up onyx. Also don't believe anything they say about any of their food being allergen or vegan friendly. Take it from someone who worked in almost every part of this company
