Higdon Square Cafe

My wife and I stopped in on a Friday evening to grab a bite. We had eaten there years ago, but for some reason had just let it slip out of our minds and didn't often consider it as an option when we were thinking of what to eat.

Our waitress was Shirley, and she was extremely professional, knowledgeable about the menu and full of personality. She suggested a couple of items, and I went with the fish and shrimp while my wife went with the chicken fried steak. Both were excellent, and we received our food promptly.

We will be going back often, but not too soon because the portions were so large we were able to carry enough home to have lunch tomorrow!!!

We went there for the first time and had breakfast and it was so good. We will definitely be going back. I doubt you'll leave hungry. Awesome little place.

What a little gem of a place. Excellent food, great service and very reasonable prices. They have a special every day and every night you can get (2)6 oz rib eye steaks, (2)salads, (2)baked potatos and (2) Texas toast for 12.99!! Great mom and pop place!

Huge portions taste like grandma's home cooking with friendly staff, always consistently good food.this is a locals favorite you won't find on the tourist maps. Rotating specials, go on an empty stomach and expect to pay less than the chain restaurants.

Good old fashioned down home country cooking. They have specials every day. They cook your food to your liking. Who knew there were so many different ways to cook an egg......definitely a place to visit. I'll be back. Especially for more of that bacon. Its magic bacon lol

I gave them 1 star because the place was packed and they only had 1 waitress. People were leaving left and right and we left also because it was going to be a long wait before we ever got waited on. First time I have been there and didn't even get to try the food.

Best little hidden gem weve found in Hot Springs. Been here a handful of times and we will def be back! So many choices and everyting is good...esp the gumbo! My hubby from Louisiana and knows good gumbo and that's some good gumbo! The breakfast is superb as well. Highly recommend this place to anyone that is hungry!

This is the place we go to have breakfast, or lunch. The chef knows how to cook an egg! It's a comfort food that we need some days. Good service, good food, clean.....try them!
