Breakfast obviously prepared by someone who cared about whether we enjoyed eating it. Service was pretty good, friendly too. We were there when the house was full, but food still came out acceptably fast. Would recommend.

Decent diner-like atmosphere. Had breakfast here with friends. Bottomless coffee (for hubby with decaf for my friend) but no latte for me. (Obviously, I didn't expect one here ๐.) Good breakfast options which were reasonably priced. I had eggs, rye toast and hashbrowns. Others had hot cakes. I would go back if I was in the area. Sorry, no photos taken.

Truly a part of Yuma-cana and such a great little diner. Not too many of these left. It is always busy! Seat yourself and enjoy! R.I.P Bobby Brooks, and thank you for creating such a wonderful diner!

I'm born and raised in FL and my wife took me here since I love eating at old school diners. Exactly the same environment to the old diners back home. Great food and great service

This review is based off my first fish fry Friday meal. Place was packed at 11:30 so had to wait a bit. Ordered the fish meal which comes with coleslaw and potato choice and soup and choice of grilled or deep fried cod.
The pinto bean soup was truly delicious.
The coleslaw maybe the best I've ever had.
I had french fries. Limp and soggy.
I ordered the deep fried cod. Got three pieces in a bread crumb coating that was the most tasteless coating I think I have ever had. The fish was moist and flaky but again no flavor. Incredibly disappointing. I asked for a little bit of the grilled cod to taste and my waitress Bev (a rockstar waitress!!) was more than happy to bring me a large sample of it. Moist and well flavored and tasted so good! But....it was rubbery. If they could get the flavor of the grilled on the deep fried fish they would have an absolute home run.
As it is now the side dishes are the star of the meal and not the fish. I eat a LOT of fish and chips (from Wa state) and feel I know great fish and chips from mediocre tasting. I will be back regardless. I saw a lot of dishes I thought look very delicious. We will find out!

Old style comfort food dining. Decent prices, good customer service (they replaced my too-dark pancakes with lighter ones, no questions asked). Parking is a bit tight but otherwise it's worth the trip.

Went on a Monday, waited about half an hour. Decided to go there bars on a recommendation. I enjoyed to atmosphere, but didn't like the food. To me, it hast no taste. I ordered the fried steak which was nothing more than a hard hamburger patty with gravy on top. I wouldn't go again.

The absolute WORST breakfast Iโve ever had. The meant in the chicken fried steak was solid as a rock, grey, and flavorless. The gravy was the consistency of wallpaper paste and tasted horrible. I selected English Muffins for my toast and they came in their own swamp of butter. The eggs had shells in them and the hash browns were cold. They should stop serving food immediately, and I canโt wait to see what little I ate does to my stomach..

There is no mystery why it's Yuma's best for breakfast! Hubby got the steak and it was so tender and flavorful, the waffle was amazing! Paid $1 extra for the fruit and whipped cream, got way more than my money's worth in toppings
