Brought my son (nicknamed Brownie) here to sample the delights of his namesake. Was incredible. Best cooked breakfast I’ve ever had in America. Kamman sausages were like real European sausages, not full of junk. Delicious and highly recommended. Brownie loved his Mickey Mouse pancake!
Staff were excellent, super helpful, friendly and helped modify the pancakes to suit our young son. Coffee refills were copious.

It is with great regret that I give Brownie’s restaurant a 1 star.
I have been living in Yuma, Arizona on and off for 24 years and I have never tried Brownies. My baby boo and I are a fan of diners and decided to visit Brownies for the first time and unfortunately it will be our last.
There was a wait to sit, I saw that as a good sign, people lining up must mean the food is bussin’. So we waited about 10 minutes and got a table.
There was a special for French Toast, 2 eggs and 2 sausage links for 11.99. I thought that was a great deal so I went with the French Toast, my partner had the Chicken Fried Steak with the hash browns.
I’m really disappointed, the French toast needed gallons of syrup to taste like something, the chicken fried steak was dry, had no taste, and the gravy was cold. For the life of me I could not understand how people were coming in hoards.
The service was nice, waitresses are friendly.
The food is not good, my partner had an upset stomach for the rest of the day because he ate the chicken fried steak, going to the restroom multiple times.
People come to this place because of nostalgia because the food is EH.

We were highly recommended this place being new to town. So we brought the whole family out to check it out. Upon arriving it was packed, which we thought meant great food. Right up until the crazy long wait as empty tables sat there empty. We actually recommended to let someone sit at a table that came in after us since they seem to forget to let anyone know. We finally got sat after I recommended leaving already. The family wanted to give it a shot still. Country fried stale absolutely appalling to even look at. Biscuits were bland as well as the gravy. The gentleman cleaning tables and bringing coffee was very polite and probably the best employee we came across he was awesome. My toast was the best part of the meal! My kids bananas on their pancakes were even over ripe. My girl didn’t even touch her biscuit.
Go to Pennies Dinner! Absolutely fantastic all around place!

Classic old school family diner with swivel chairs at the counter. We took a booth next to the windows. Our server was very efficient and fast. Our drinks were delivered within 2 minutes. Our server answered our questions and we ordered. Wife got the O Brien. A hamsteak eggs, hash browns and toast . The ham was tender and moist. I had the cowboy cut steak, eggs hash browns and biscuits and gravy. The steak was top notch, tender and flavor full. The homemade biscuit and homemade gravy was very good. This place regularly rated top place in Yuma.

Such an incredible atmosphere the staff is energetic and engaging and the restaurant has that old time Diner feel. Their Belgium waffles and Kammann sausage is simply the right choice.

This is a step back in time. Been here many times when in Yuma. Very local hometown cafe. Staff cordial and very nice. Food very traditional . Breakfast served all day. Very busy on the weekends. I've included photos of menu. (spring of 2023) New upholstery on booths since last time here. To be honest this cafe has improved very much since here last. There are a few items under $10.00. Coffee $2.49.

Probably the best breakfast in Yuma. It doesn't look like much, but everything was cooked perfectly and the service was great. The bacon was magically delicious.

Friendly local place with plenty of history. This is reportedly the 1st restaurant in Yuma established by Mr. Brookes in 1979. Appears to be a Family owned and run business that may also be highly involved and supported by the community. This is a great place for people who can’t or don’t like a lot of seasonings or salty food. We had the kids chicken strips, excellent and perfectly cooked. Ordered scrambled eggs & biscuit and gravy. Definitely not a fan of the bland biscuits and gravy. Gravy tasted old and funky. Ordered two Brownie Burgers the bun was twice the size of the burger. Burgers like the gravy was plain and bland. There was no seasoning on the burgers. The scrambled eggs were delicious. Service was nice, friendly and super quick. We were in and out in 30-40 minutes and the place was packed with locals. I would try it again and order something else. Total was $63 For 4 people and included the tip. Reasonably priced for sure.

How is it 2023 & I barely ate at this restaurant? My party of 7 stopped in for breakfast. The establishment is small. But it definitely has a homey feel. The menu covered all the bases for breakfast and lunch. I ordered steak&eggs, hash browns, and I also tried the fries. Don't you just always make sure to note when you eat a perfect fry? They were perfect. The steak was also cooked perfectly. The whole experience was great. 3 stars for atmosphere due to the size. But I definitely will find my way back for another breakfast.
