Xtreme Bean Coffee

My coffee was not good, flavor was off and coffee grounds in my cold brew drink. $1 for cold foam, but barely any on the drink. Service was good, but I can't afford that much money for bad coffee.

Xtreme Bean, a coffee shop. When I first saw this place I couldn't think of a more visceral representation of Tempe. Corny branding, logo design that looks like a high schoolers graphic design extra credit. It's like the place is trying to not make money.

Absolutely zero direction on interior design. The vault is unique, but somehow the owner is doing nothing with what is potentially the coolest spot in the lobby, instead it's dilapidated and scary. If I had to use one word to describe the lobby, it would be moist.

I can only hope these issues will be solved with the posted renovation, but honestly my expectations are low for a shop that uses clip art on their logo. I've paid $20 for better logo designs on Fiverr.

I'll give the benefit of the doubt on the roach infestation and hope it's dealt with. Still very gross though.

Somehow despite all of these issues, the coffee is the worst feature. No matter what, it tastes watered down and bitter at the same time, I guess that can be an accomplishment.
I'm not going to spend $5 on subpar coffee/drinks with Torani syrup again, personally.

Coffee and a drive-thru window make fast friends. Good espresso drinks, bagel and croissant sandwiches, sweets from amazing brownies to cheesecake, and friendly service. Try a vanilla latte - and get an extra shot with the iced version - and try the Mikey Bean sandwich. 👌

Great coffee. Good place to study, there is a quiet part of the coffee shop. Good place to meet up with a friend for coffee, they have couches and comfy chairs. Sometimes I use the drive thru, great service and really good coffee. They have a nice patio outside. This place is very casual and friendly. They have local art on the walls, and a piano in a corner.

Horrible! The place has gone xtremely downhill in recent years. If they actually do have what you want to order the employee will have an attitude about it and then hound you for a tip for their less than mediocre product and service.

I think this place is fairly average. The live music can be neat and there’s a student-friendly quiet room with a printer, but that’s about it. I’m a tea drinker and while they have a pretty good selection, the tea is always over brewed in my opinion. Also, this place always smells really musty. Still a great study group place because of the late hours!

Had a great experience at a unique local owned coffee shop. I ordered an iced coffee and a bagel and my associate ordered a latte and a bagel. The coffee and bagels are great that's what's a service. If you haven't tried it check Xtreme Bean.

I've been going for years. The A/C is always too high. Fly season is quite awful inside. In house roasted coffee smells funny sometimes. Many redeeming qualities. Great prices. Excellent tea selection. Good place to study. Always nice staff. Sometimes customers that are there can be (fill in plural explicative).

Too much to rave over, lol. I love everything about this place, been coming here for years. A friend of mine turned me on to the mocha frappe - amazing and addictive! Excellent selection of pastries and lunch items. My favorite is the Italian croissant sandwich. And there's a bunch of healthy whole food offerings as well. A local favorite with eclectic surroundings and great, friendly, competent service. This place is here to stay.

The place sometimes kind of has an "old" smell to it. The furniture and decor has a certain heavily-lived-in quality. I am almost certain they just buy some of their coffee from Starbucks.
Still I kind of like this place. Good service, quiet corners for me to do my work, and best of all, it stays open pretty late. 4/5
