Good downtown Globe az lunch place.

Best green chili ever! The food is great, wonderful buttery tortillas. Chips are just ok, but service is good. This must be a favorite place for the locals, people all seem to know each other, a very friendly place. I'm serious about the big bowl of green chili, I travel there from Phoenix just for that.

Need better management. lack of customer service. There was nobody in line and all 6 waitress were just gossiping and drinking there soda while I waited 15 minutes just to be asked if I had been helped. Set up a designated person to be the cashier and you won't have this reoccurring issue. Can't deny the food is always excellent though.

I'd heard great things about it from co-workers and acquaintances in the area, and I was really excited when I was finally able to make it there. Upon walking in, the restaurant was mostly empty, but I wasn't really acknowledged by the waitstaff. This initial interaction (or lack thereof) set the template for the rest of the "service" on display for the duration of the meal.
(A fellow reviewer described the service as 'surly', which is something of an understatement.)
The food here is actually fairly solid. It's not markedly better than the majority of Globe's Mexican food offerings (of which there are so very many), but it's definitely far more expensive. In addition, the restaurant will also charge you an extra $2.00 for a small saucer of mediocre "hot" salsa, while Chalo's, J&R's or Los Roberto's (all local places with superior salsa) do not.
In short, eat somewhere else. Globe has plenty of options when it comes to bad service and Mexican food, so don't pay extra for these experiences by patronizing this place.

I’m not sure why this place is so highly rated. Two of us ate lunch for $22 and we didn’t want to finish it. The rice wasn’t good, most stuff was fried, the “hot” salsa was mild, and even our tacos had American cheese melted on it.

Best green chili cheese crisp in the world! The green chili here has more flavor then any other in town and it's not so spicy so anyone can eat it. Try a one third plate or for something new their gollo burro is amazing!

Stopped for dinner after a serious day's ride waiting for the sun to fall in the valley. The servers were great! The Guac was pretty good too. Both dinners were good, and we both had enough to eat. We mi GB hit have to stop next time we're in Globe.
