Service was fine, nothing special, very unpersonal, they said hi and goodbye. Food was ok, Halibut fish and chips but the price was ridiculous, $38 for 3 pieces of fish it's just ridiculous, even in Alaska. All together with tax and tip $55 for 1 beer and 3 pieces of fish...exaggerated.
Tourist Trap Alert! Overpriced items and the bearded, heavy set bartender was bitter when explaining why a appetizer cost $30 !! Be aware of automatic 20% gratuity. Don't get taken, try another cafe.
Just go there for drinks, over priced bland food that is less than average. Halibut fish and chips which is supposed to be locally sourced smelled fishy and was over cooked. No batter to speak of. The linguine with clams was lunch sized at best and cost $38. Hmmmm, cruise ships must be in
I write this review from the perspective of a hotel guest who had the misfortune of staying in a Sitka Hotel room above the restaurant. They play music so loud at all hours that it makes the walls and window panes of the hotel rooms boom like you're in a disco. They're belligerent when politely approached about the noise, and they alienate people in the hotel who might otherwise have considered patronizing their restaurant. Let me tell you something from many many years of running a successful business. You are going to fail. It takes more than decent food to succeed as a restaurant. Word will get around this small town what kind of people you are. So, the best of luck to you. You're gonna need it.
40$ for 3 pieces of halibut from costco deep fried served with a hand full of fries then the icing on top was the KRAFT TARTAR sauce you could buy at any store in town.
The food was OK and I was confused on why this place had such a low rating - that is until we got the bill... The service was great but the food was very mediocre (the mashed potatoes were cold and flavorless) and yet our bill was over 150 dollars for two and all we got was one drink each, a meal each, and a dessert. 😳 I feel bad but this place is definitely not worth it's price tag.... I'd avoid if I were you...
We had dinner here twice, both times excellent. One evening we both had the rockfish piccata and the other we shared the full rack of lamb. Accompanying veggies were wood or charcoal grilled and also were outstanding. Salads and desserts also first rate. They are busy and don’t take reservations for parties under 6 people, but neither night did we have to wait long.
Great fish and chips. However the price is borderline criminal. 109 for 2 fish and chips and 2 cokes. Not to mention the 17 dollar automatic service fee! For 2 people!

We are in this restaurant right now. The Seafoos chowder is amazing! And the halibut fish and chips were incredible.
So glad we stopped in here!

Way over priced for what it really is.
