We took a quick detour
through Nenana on our way to Circle and we're stopped in our tracks by some locals playing guitar on the front "beer garden." It was the first line music is heard since COVID shut it all down, and it was welcome. I had a Swiss mushroom burger ($13) and homemade skins-on fries. My friend had the special barbeque pork ribs ( he ordered the pulled pork but says the ribs were excellent). It was a healthy prob, served with beans, corn, and a salad ($15). We were driving so had to pass in the best but there was a good selection that they advertise as "German microbre." The owner was very nice, the food was good, and the little eham session was a welcome bonus.

Very nice staff they couldn't accommodate me but they told me where I can go to find a place to stay

Good food and great service! Small town feel and its everything you could want from an inn / café. Must stop in on you way by Nenana, its worth it!

The Rough Woods Inn is an Alaskan gem. Friendly service, great pie and coffee, and classic movies playing on the television. Great spot to stop after a day of fishing, grouse hunting, or just traveling the Parks.

the food was very good and the other customers were alot of fun.Yes it would be a recomemendation to fellow travelers.I understood from guests there they to were pleased with the place as they were staying in a rv park close by.Even though I think my wife may have left her sweater there.Good trip.

Expensive. The cheeseburger was exceedingly dry. The homemade root beer was OK but very expensive!!! Service is OK. Save your money and eat at the Chevron on the highway.

Rude, overpriced and downright disrespectful. Save your money and go to Chevron for food where they're much more polite and reasonable. There's a reason the other hotel in town is sold out while this place is vacant!

It's a little bit of heaven for the town of Nenana down home cooking and kind of a notty place. Enjoy

Super little place. Family owned. Verry traveler friendly. Good prices on breakfast.

This is a great place to stop and get a burger I'd recommend trying anything on the menu plus they got a great beer selection too and it's all bruised they're on site
