I ordered a frappe and it was barely cold. I understand that it's a blended drink so there will be liquid but this was all liquid and no ice. It was like she made the drink with super hot liquids and poured it over a cup of ice and it had all melted immediately while she made it. So it looked like a mud puddle in a cup and was completely melted when she handed it to me. I also ordered 2 small steamers and the cups were cold to the touch when she handed them to me. The drinks were not even luke warm. The barista was nice enough but the drinks were not worth the $24 I spent on them. Will not be going back. (I also got a ham and cheese croissant for my daughter and she said that was luke warm but tasty)
I went on a coffee run for the crew and found Star’s coffee. Katie didn’t flinch when I asked for six different drinks, all with various special instructions, she smiled and shut her open light off so she could pay full attention to my order. That is service! Star’s serves Kaladi Brothers coffee, which is always excellent. They’ve got everything here...including Hawaiian shaved ice, $3 hot dogs and various baked goods. Worth a stop if you’re in Homer.
Well I've had consistently bad coffee here not to mention its the most expensive place in town, too bad because its a convenient location. Baristas are nice and I dont blame them.
Baristas were rude, charged me for a 20oz lotus but gave me a 16oz, and when I told her I ordered a 20oz she snatched my drink out of my hand and said she would “just pour it into a 20oz cup” 🤦♀️ and to top off the bad experience, I watched another girl making the turkey croissants without gloves on🤢
I am the manager of Hyer Grounds Espresso in Wasilla and am very hesitant to buy coffee at shops I haven’t tried before. I ordered a 16oz quad shot iced white chocolate americano with heavy cream and it was perfect!!! I was very very happy with my coffee and it tasted exactly how I would make it at my shop!! We carry Kaladis at my shop and I know how particular it is to use that bean, great job girls!! This is the first shop that I had never tried before where I loved the coffee; next time I go to homer I will definitely be stopping by
When I come through during the summer this is my get up early and go to. But yesterday, it failed miserably. The two coffees were so bitter and diluted that we threw them out...and to be clear I'm a veteran and am used to "duty coffee" it was that bad. My recommendation is to check your drink BEFORE you leave the stand, at least for awhile...

A small coffee is half the size of a small at any other shop and cost you $4.58. What a scam!

Always stop here when in Homer. Very nice baristas and fast service.

I randomly pulled in here after dropping my husband off to fish at 6:30am. She was nice and coffee was good! Not too bitter for my mocha.
