Lovely place with live music on Fridays and Saturdays. Bill (gtr Vic), June (Vic) and bassist Dave are great musicians and veteran entertainers, check them out for a family friendly fun night of music, jokes and stories. They are such friendly hosts! This is a cafe, no alcohol, but lots of great coffee and soft drinks. Try the special sipping chocolate which starts with an X, or a coffee roasted right on the premises (I think they are the ones with music titles). My favorite: Girl From Ipanema. Emphasis on family friendly, really a nice place to go after a family dinner out. A chance to get off your digital devices and have some old-school fun together, especially on Fridays and Saturdays.

I took my wife, son (14) and daughter (12) there and we had a great time. Fun (analog) games, bubbles for the Tiny Bubbles number, what a hoot! Can you find all the items in the shaker? We are still trying and will head back soon to complete the list.

Prices are VERY reasonable. We’ve been there several times in the evenings and a few in the am too. They have pastries and soups during the day, not sure if soups are available in the evening, but pastries and other desserts are available in the pm. Try the Mario balls...

We were very happy to discover such a welcoming place for families. My recommendation: check out a great restaurant of your choice in Fairbanks on a Friday or Saturday night, then get to McCafferty’s just before 8:30, trust me it will be a great way to end the evening!

I love the coffee here. It's really, really good. I'm not joking. Has been for YEARS. This is where I get my vanilla chai. 😋

Friendly, good coffee, and about 100 (hyperbole) syrups to choose from. It’s a comfortable little spot for a meal or just coffee. I got a quad espresso over ice with Almond syrup.

Wow. Amazing atmosphere, outstanding service and coffee. The first friday night of the month features live music performed by the owners. It is a pleasant, cozy little cafe, and my favorite coffee shop in town.

We came here at night (around 6pm the first time and 9pm the second time) since they were the only coffee shop that was open. Great place to hang out if you have young kids or if youre just looking to relax. The owner's hospitality got us to go back the second time. They are elder but they sing/play for the customers. Not sure what kind of music it is but its relaxing. They even include the kids, in their songs, by giving them bubbles to follow along with their "bubbles" song, by letting them borrow their maracas to play along, or even teaching them to dance to their songs. They also let my kiddos borrow a water board to paint on, while we were there. This place is "homey" enough to make my son feel like he's at home. On our second visit, my son felt comfortable enough to sit with the boy (maybe the owner's grandchild simce he was there both nights) to watch him play his tablet. My son is usually shy but, this time, he didnt sit with us at our table. As far as pricing, i think its comparable to other coffee shops or maybe even less expensive. I dont drink coffee but I enjoyed their homemade pumpkin steamer, as well as their banana steamer. My kiddos had the hot chocolate and enjoyed it too. I also had a huge chocolate chip cookies and, i believe it was, a berry turnover. Both were delicious. I would defintely recommend anyone coming here even if its just for a little while. We did the same and ended up staying longer than anticipated. Great place!!!
