I'm very torn in writing this review. Black Cup serves some of the best coffee in town, but I struggle to get past the shortcomings of the location itself. On my last several visits, the common areas have been exceptionally unclean. The floors appear to have not been swept or mopped in days, and my backpack has stains to prove it. I did not look closely at the food and coffee preparation areas, but hopefully they are better maintained. The ceiling was dripping water onto my table, barely missing my laptop. When I informed the staff, they replied that they were aware but had no plans to fix the leak. One of the two bathrooms had a broken toilet that would not flush, and unfortunately one or more previous occupants had found out too late in their visit...
Until the proprietors make some much-needed repairs and institute better cleanliness standards, I do not plan to revisit Black Cup.

Another overpriced coffee shop for the yuppie, computer internet coffee shop lovers. It's a nice place to be served your coffee in an actual stoneware coffee cup not the paper kind design for travel. It does have a larger capacity for it's patrons, which is a bonus and their pastries are par with the rest of the coffee shops. It is one of the better Midtown spots to pick up a cup of java.

Such a great place. I don't know Anchorage at all. Didn't expect to find this. Really cool place with a hip, classy vibe. Super friendly women working. One shared her incredible playlist with me. Music was great. Coffee was very good. Can't wait to come back.

This supervisor or whoever she is with glasses and yellow shoes was being mean. The two Native Americans seem to be bums came in and slept. She called police on them. I told her that they have the right to public places as everyone of us, she said there was an incidence on that same man here before, so he to her is not safe here so she called police on them. The woman could not walk at all and was using clutches. Poor woman. I am not sure if there was an incidence on her too. I pray to God...I swear...I pray that she, the supv, is not being racist. She better not be! We, the community, can as well come to protest and have this business shut down! Racism or discrimination must go!!! That supv is beyond appalling. She would have someone from salvation army or goodwill or shelters to help them. Why cops?! Geez!

Cozy, wish there were more places like it in the valley.

Overpriced, dusty, and depressing. Coffee tasted bitter, burnt, and old. First time trying this place and my last.

I'm not a coffee drinker so I can't speak to that, but I love a good hot chocolate and they are the best I've found so far. Also, reusable cups/mugs earn you a small discount. I've found some good books on the shelf by the door, conveniently located where one can browse the free books while waiting to order.

They are the best coffee shop in a town with a serious coffee addiction. If you want a perfect pour over or a delightful doppio, this is the spot. They also have the best single origin roasts to take home with you. If you love coffee, blackcup is heaven. Plus they have a well thought-out and safe set up for these covid times.

I no longer go anywhere else. Once tasting their wonderful cup of awesomeness, there's no other shop that compares! And the great people that work there, make it even better. And it's not just myself that goes here, my whole family of 8 go! They have great hot chocolate, for the kiddo's!

The caramel latte was delicious. Maybe a little expensive for an everyday coffee place, but certainly worth an occasional treat. Staff was very friendly on the way in and out. Lots of seating inside, mostly 2-person tables, some for 4, and one large table for a group of 6-8.
