Farm House Cafe

Absolutely ridiculous how good the food and service is here. These ladies know good food and southern hospitality. The fried chicken was perfectly fried but not greasy. The rutabagas are tender and scrumptious as well as the field peas. The collards are out of this world good. I will let the cheesecake speak for itself because it is some kind of good. If I lived closer, they would have a booth reserved for me every meal. I will be coming back soon for the fantastic food and the very gracious staff. Thank you ladies for the fine meal that was fit for a king.

I like this Farm House Cafe. They have tasty homelike food. I had delicious mashed potatoes, green beans, and meatloaf. Their coleslaw and broccoli salad were good, too. Their is a shop inside Cafe. Nice country atmosphere. Staff is really nice.

Doesn't look like much from the outside but, the inside is really cute. Biscuits were fresh & the white gravy had a good flavor. The hashbrowns were interesting. It was shredded thinly & weren't bad. The grits were just grits but, that isn't necessarily a bad thing. The bathroom was clean & spacious. If I find myself in this neck of the woods again, I'd come back.

Good food, they were out of one of there signature dishes the crazy tomato, a green tomato spiral cut and fried with a great dipping sauce. If you go there when they have it you won't forget.

The people working here were very friendly, the food was good and the prices were fair. Most locals seemed to go for the food bar, which allowed them to quickly get a good sized plate of food. We choose to order off the menu, so our food took a minute to come out. Took about as long as we expected to get served, food was good, portions were good and we left full. Waitress was attentive and friendly, which is getting rare these days. Owner knew a bunch of the people who came in by name and we loved that she had a baby with her because we love family run businesses.

Amazing food. Very sweet staff. I want to go back and get a plate full of mac and cheese. It was so delicious!! Don't make the mistake I did and go on a Saturday bc they're closed. If it wasnt a 40 minute drive one way for me, this pregnant lady would be there daily- except for Saturday, of course 😅

If you happen to be traveling down Hwy 31, it'd be well worth your time to stop by the Farm House Cafe in Thorsby to grab a quick, fresh-cooked lunch!

Personally, given the location and the food selection, it brings me back home to my roots. Now we just need Mim's Grocery Store to take back that location from yet another *** ****** storage facility.

They have a webpage for the menu. Can call and order via phone, go in decide buffet or menu, and you can walk over to buffet and get your order to go. Buffet comes with meat and sides plus dessert.(drink included). Very good food! Southern dishes are served. Staff is very friendly! They do charge a small fee to use your card. Lunch time is crowded so expect the wait but we'll worth it. They do offer First Responders discount and show their appreciation for their services.

Fast friendly service. It was my first time there but they seemed to have some regulars which might become. Portions were bigger than I expected and prices were average. Tasty food, clean place.

Cute place with small boutique inside. Food was great southern food.
