Visited when the business first opened and have now returned again. They've really stepped it up! They've expanded everything...coffee selections, breakfast lunch and dinner foods, gelato and desserts, gift shop. Some reviewers report slow service, but mine was quick. Prices on the Starbucks side, but to be expected. Definitely recommend!
Our meals were the sunrise bowl $8.99 and garden omelette $12.99. As for the Sunrise bowl it was biscuits and gravy topped with pepper gravy and two over easy eggs. The only chef recommendation that I would make is to add sausage chips to the gravy and ensure the eggs are cooked firmly.
As for the Garden Omelette it was 3 eggs full of veggies and cheese served with toast and a large bowl of fresh fruit. It was excellent.

Great coffee and food. Beautifully decorated and cool gift section. If you are in Gulf Shores/ Orange Beach, you won't want to miss this place.

The coffee was awesome. The staff was super nice. They were very busy but the wait is not long at all, they were very efficient and fast. Great spot.

The food here is wonderful! The coffee is (usually) fresh. They have delicious gelato and baked goods and we'll as paninis and wraps. It is a dollar to upgrade from chips to french fries with you sandwich, but totally worth it. The interior is beautifully decorated with all kinds of beach themed items which are available to be purchased. The only problem is the girls behind the counter. They are snooty. They are on their phones. They take forever to getting around to noticing there is someone waiting to place an order and even longer to bring that order out. On multiple occasions I have waited 20-30 minutes or more for a sandwich. Also, it is kind of pricey for what it is. Don't bother asking for a glass of ice water either. They won't give it to you, even with a purchase. I quit going because I was tired of the awful service.

Very good food. Service is excellent. Beautiful decor. I've been to both Southern Grind locations and had similar experiences at each one. Place your order when you walk in, take a number and find a seat. Service is prompt and friendly. If it's your first visit, they'll help you with your selection. I have always had great food and never left feeling like they were missing something to make my visit better. Clean restrooms and dining area. The coffee drinks are excellent.

Took half an hour for our orders of two sandwiches to come out and that was only after we asked them repeatedly where our order was. They weren't busy but did have a moderately large order before ours. Three of the staff were just hanging out eating behind the counter instead of seeing where the orders were or helping in any way. They were however, very nice and did see where our order was after we asked so that was a plus. We just think better planning, communication, and initiative was necessary on their part to ensure a better flow for orders.

We love coming here for lunch after riding bikes at Gulf State Park. They also have a good breakfast, muffins, and desserts. Love the unique items in the gift shop. Great coffee and we usually buy a bag of beans to enjoy at home. Friendly staff.

What a disappointment. The photos of all the great decor (for sale) was the best part.
The clerk told us before we ordered the food it would take 30 minutes. It took only about 10. If I were the manager, while 'under promise/over deliver' sounds good, it likely turns some people away. Maybe that's what she was trying to do??
The food was meh. No flavor. Fruit was old (grapes starting to rot at the stem). My scramble was dry and without flavor. My husbands omelet the same.
Coffee drinks were fine.
What tipped us was when we wanted to buy some merchandise they told us we'd have to get in the line. (A 30 minute line formed while we were eating).
We spent $35 for just breakfast and were not going to take 30 minutes to stand in line for something we could find on Amazon.
High ratings but why?

Was staying at the hotel indigo this past weekend and decided to get breakfast here. Had the Mexican omelet which was a bad choice. More green peppers than anything but it had very little flavor. Definitely not worth the money. I ordered side sausage and it was so bad .... Definitely some kind of microwave sausage not even browned...
