Another Broken Egg Cafe

Shrimp and grits, lobster and brie omelette, and chicken and waffles are all amazing. The city grits are also amazing. My only regret is waiting until today to finally eat here.

Very good food, fast service, reasonably priced. My new favorite place for brunch. Portion size is very generous for the price :)

The staff here probably doesn’t get tipped enough. They’re always busy and running around, and are always willing to accommodate any dietary requests. The food is consistently good, even for carry out. We are weekday brunch regulars and always leave full.

Ate there today 9/21/22; bad food, bad service. Grits and biscuits were so cold that butter wouldn't melt, had to send them back. Waited so long for butter that I flagged another waiter,
Wife ordered eggs scrambled soft, they came back HARD. Long wait for the eggs.
Requested strawberry preserve twice. Had to flag another waiter down to request a refill on coffee. Grits were probably pre-plated because there were cold rings at the edges of the grits. That was my second and last time going there.

My husband and I came here today for the first time for his birthday and we had a wonderful experience! We always see how busy it is so we joined the waitlist on our way and waited less than 5 minutes after checking in with the hostess! Our waiter, Geoff, (spelling??) was absolutely amazing. We accidentally broke a glass and he was so kind and patient with us moving us to a new table and cleaning everything up while continuing to make sure our food was good and drinks were filled. He even brought us a new drink from the one we broke and spilled, which we did not expect but definitely appreciated!

All in all, we loved the atmosphere, staff, and food so we will definitely be back! Thank y’all for an awesome birthday breakfast for my husband!

Most of the good was good, however the scrambled eggs were like bricks...They let it set under the warming lamp too long...

Edit to my review.... I was so disappointed with my recent visit. My husband daughter and I didn't enjoy our breakfast at all. The only thing we ate was the beignets. I've never had a bad experience until my last visit. Spent a lot of money on food that we didn't even get to eat. (Older review)Tried this place out last weekend. I had the shrimp and grits and my husband ordered the Supreme omelet with homestyle potatoes. His vegetables and meats were cooked to perfection. My shrimp and grits was ok just could use more sauce. It started to dry up as I was eating. The general manager came over and talked with us for a bit, he was a really nice genuine guy. They threw out the beignets before we got to try them. But told us next time we come back they would give us some to try. Overall I will come to eat here.

Service was cordial and friendly. Food was amazing. Portion sizes were perfect. Pricing was just right. My new spot. A great option for breakfast or whatever time of day. Was pleasantly surprised.

Leaves take out orders on a non heated bench to be picked up. Having a large stationary insulated bag like Eggs Up to store take out would help.

The food was great this time I really enjoyed it! 😉
