I believe the service my family and I received at this establishment is the worst I've experienced. The beignets were fine, but the waitress' (or ever who the lady was) attitude was the worst. Everything was ok until my husband got up to pay. Our total was $19.53, and he gave the lady a $20.00. She asked if he needed change, and he said no. So he went and sat back down. Then she ran up to the table, and asked if everything was ok, we said yes. When we got up to leave with other patrons in the restaurant she said thanks for the $.47 tip not knowing if we had left a tip on the table or not. It was fine with us, but just horrible customer service. We generally leave a tip when we go out to eat, but this was completely uncalled for.

Man hate to leave a negative review. Quickly though :
Have to use an atm right next to the register? In the age of Square, that's one star off.
Presentation... Looked like he plopped the beignets into the donut box and heaved a handful of powdered sugar over some, but not others. Look, I'm not the froofy type, but come on. Have some pride. Another star gone.
Lastly, when I offered to adjust giving a dollar to avoid a bunch of one's, The Cook in the back reared his greasy dirty head outta the cooks window with suspicion and asked "what's going on?!"
On the positive side, they tasted good. At least there was that.

So we got rear ended on the way to the Cafe and the Beignet's and Cafe au lait were worth it!! Staff were Very pleasant and the pillows of powdery goodness are made fresh to order!!

Most terrible service ever. 45 minutes before closing and they were rudely saying that in 5 minutes it's to go only and the very angry man in the back yelled "what do they want!?" before we had a chance to say anything at all. It was a very unwelcoming environment and he felt in such a rush that he didn't take the time to finish cooking the beignets. $20 for 2 coffees, a dozen half cooked beignets and rude service that spoiled the event. When I told the man that I was sorry for bothering him as he shoved my raw food at me across the window, he said, "yeah we are trying to get out of here." (at this point is was 40 mins before they close) .......I'm blown away at the rudeness of the cook in the back. Definitely won't go back to bother them again.

Walked in to being rudely told by the lady at the front we could only order if we ordered to go, they close at noonish(it was 11:24)...followed by the owner coming out of the kitchen to tell us the exact same thing except much more rude... We reluctantly ordered a dozen beignets...huge mistake! Then were told we could go eat them at the park behind the store...no park! The beignets were hard and hollow, followed by a 20 dollar bill. Worst service, worst beignets we had in the south....Stay Away!

You need to order the pudding filled ones too. Omg thank you Justin. This made my trip! This is the best kept secret of the area.

I've gone in several times and had the same experience each time. This will definitely be my last time going in there. The waitress serving us only brought our beignets and cups of water to us. Nothing else. We had an order (3 beignets) of plain beignets at $3.95 and an order of lemon pudding filled beignets at $4.95 according to the dry erase board they have on a wall as the menu. We got ready to pay and the waitress charged us $12. I paid and told her to keep the change, thinking that tip must have been included in that considering how little she did. The witch then had the nerve to ask if something was wrong with my service and pointed to the tip jar. I was absolutely speechless at how rude she was. I left her another dollar and left. I know that the prices on the board are tax inclusive because the other waitress working charged two families exactly what was on the board for what they ordered. Another man bought a dozen beignets for $9.95, as what was stated on the board. I have been in at least 5 times and this woman does this every time, if not to me then to another customer. It is ridiculous and a business should not be run that way. I would have given less stars if possible. I will never be back in and neither will anyone I know. The beignets are decent but not worth the terrible service and prices.

I liked the beignets. The reason I give it a 2 star is because the environment was not welcoming. The carpet was very old and gross-looking. Behind the counter was a window and I could see the kitchen which looked rusty. The cash register and the "stuff" around the register table was so dusty. Yes for the beignets, the server was nice, but I'll never go back because the environment was not welcoming.

I was craving for beignets this morning and decided to try this place, and I am glad that I did. The beignets were piping hot and fast service. I ordered one dozen plain, and one order of filled beignets, so yummy with coffee or by itself. The staff were awesome, so give this place a try. Highly recommended...

Having lived in NOLA for a while, I am pretty familiar with how authentic beignets should taste. These miss the mark. I can make them at home with cheap biscuits that taste better. We had some from a beignet shop in Louisiana recently and were reminded of how they should really taste. A local friend born and raised in Louisiana also confirmed my opinion.
The hours are not for a vacation crowd who may want to use it as a dessert stop. And they don't accept credit cards. There's an ATM inside but with an added fee; it's obviously not what we would call visitor-friendly.
