Smaller version of my favorite coffee shop in town, Red Cat at Pepper Place. Conveniently located right beside Railroad Park, it is a nice place to grab a cup of coffee and a pastry. There is seating inside, but get your coffee to go so you can enjoy the park!

Went in for the first time looking for a decaf Peppermint Mocha. The first attempt was not successful so they remade the drink. Environment was nice and it has a good location near the railroad park. Not sure I will stop here next time in Birmingham.

Food was good but service was horribly slow. Don't order to go hot food unless you are willing to wait 20+ minutes to get it

Will likely just attend Pepper Place Red Cat instead. A chicken salad sandwich took 30 minutes to come out on a not so busy day. The cooked bread was rather cold and they weren’t super apologetic about the delay. However, they do serve great drinks and sandwiches.

I got the breakfast sandwich and it was good. Average sandwich that it took 30ish minutes to get so not really worth the wait or money in my opinion

Red cat is a nice place with a chill atmosphere. Great place to study or just catch up with a friend. The drinks are great and I also enjoy some of the food options. Definitely worth a visit if you're nearby.

My husband and I decided to patronize this business one afternoon after walking in the park across the street. The cashier was not friendly at all, she only greeted us after we spoke to her. I ordered a strawberry/mango smoothie but got a mango smoothie. My husband asked for water and purchased a peanut butter brownie. The cashier never got the water, therefore we had to ask for it again. We do not plan on ever patronizing this cafe again. It’s sad that when you walk into a building you can sense racism.

Coffee and food were excellent. With large portions, very satisfying brunch. Outdoor seating with great views of an active community, conveniently located across from railroad park. Overall excellent!

Best lattes in Birmingham. Possibly the East Coast. Just the right amount of sweetness great coffee flavor. They serve breakfast all day and have great nibbles.
