6th Street Filling Station

Very disappointing service and first experience after reading such good reviews. We didn't feel welcomed from the first time we walked in the door or the entire time we were at the table. We had to ask someone after 25 minutes of waiting to take our food order after being told that the food would take about 45 minutes and other tables coming in after us and being helped right away. It took forever to finally get our food and when we did half of it was cold. We were there almost 2 hours from the time we were seated to the time we got the bill. We WILL NOT be coming back.

Best breakfast I have ever had. Do yourself a favor and stop by. Very friendly staff. Everything thing was awesome. I had the Chorizo Skillet, my wife had the French toast and my daughter had the veggie quesadillas. You can’t go wrong with any of the dishes hear.

Pleasant surprise. You walk up to the counter to place your order, then it is brought to your table.
Had the chorizo skillet with rye toast. They have homemade bread and baked goods.
Food was excellent and piping hot.

Clean and welcoming, well worth the trip off the highway.

The food took some time in coming to the table but it was well worth the wait. Everything we ordered was great. The bread appeared to be sliced far too thick until we discovered how light and fluffy the texture of it was.

Places really has great traffic , Sunday brunch all you can eat had a good variety of food , a little Luke warm - needs to be hotter for mine and my wife's liking . But using little burners to keep warm may want to upgrade. But back to food .. goid taste , goid variety , salad bar.. A good 4 star's.

Great breakfast/brunch If you think you’ll like something. On the chefs menu order it. The regular menu is great too. Can’t go wrong here.

Although the wait for the food was long and the waiter a Lil rude..the food was AMAZING!!!!!!!!! So so delicious and the place is so so cute!!! Definitely glad we tried it!!

Great food & nostalgic atmosphere! Delicious burgers of MANY varieties & home sliced chips included or upgrade to the awesome & generously portioned french fries! The home-sliced pickles are a MUST try! They taste like cucumber salad, minus all that white water & skins still intact. Outside dining is available or eat inside & admire all the "filling station" memorabilia!! Definitely one of Wausau's hidden treasures.

Honestly I love this place so much. The atmosphere is very warm and nice and the food is amazing. When you stand outside you can smell food and you can already begin to drool from it, I eat here occasionally when I have time but I wish I could eat there more than I do. ❤🙏
