Mountain Top Coffee

This little cafe is in the same space that Roots Coffeebar used to be -- indeed, one of the employees from Roots bought the place and made it his own! The space looks much the same as it did before, but they're still developing. I appreciated how the bakery section looked the same as it did for Roots (because who can live without those Peanut Butter Energy Bites? 😉).

The menu has been re-vamped and made better, in my opinion. The prices are fair and the food is absolutely scrumptious. I tried the Cajun Breakfast Sandwich on an everything bagel, and holy cats, was it amazing - the definition of 'homey comfort food'. Paired with a latte, it was perfect for a rainy morning.

I do hope that, as Mountain Top develops, there are more sustainable options implemented. First of all, it would be great to see a recycling bin (and the recycle-your-coffee-sleeve initiative from Roots would be nice, too). A composting program and an incentive for customers to use their own reusable to-go cups would both be admirable, too.

Came in for a Latte and a Mocha today and was thrilled with both! Milk was steamed to perfection on both drinks, the espresso had a full rich flavor, and neither were too sweet. Great treat! I will be coming back for sure whenever I am in town visiting family. Thanks for making my day with a great cup of happiness!

Felt very Welcomed to this wonderful shop by Nathan. Ordered the ham sandwiches with apple slices, muffins and chocolate chip cookies and a cup of mocha coffee. Absolutely excellent! Will return in the near future!!! Love everything about this place! Top notch Nathen!!!!

I really do love Mountain Top, but I've been awfully disappointed with their precautions taken during the pandemic. Their food, drinks, and service are excellent, however the clusters of maskless people is rather alarming, and workers have, on more than one occasion, fixed food with masks below their noses and even mouths. I know the importance of supporting local businesses so I've ordered for pickup a few more times, but it is definitely unfortunate to see.

I love the minimalist design inside, the bakery we had was good, and so were our drinks. The service was friendly and knowledgeable, and it was a great place to work on homework. I'll be back to order from their food menu.

Given the state of customer service in general these days I have developed an extremely high threshold for tolerating being ignored. However, my experience today set a new standard for absolute rudeness and lack of service. After five minutes or so my wife and I left the store. Neither of the two employees who were no more than three feet away behind the counter so much as raised and eyelid in our direction. If I could give a minus star rating I would.

Delicious sandwiches. I'd never had ham with a chive cream cheese, but I'll be having it again. Staff is very friendly.

Made just how I requested, and everything was delicious. Coffee is always a must when going here, it's just that good!

Ordered on door dash and they followed all instructions and were very quick, will only be ordering from here when I want coffee and/or breakfast.

Five stars to this little coffee shop in downtown Waukesha. The atmosphere is perfect and location suprep. I really enjoyed the vibe at this place and the coffee top notch. I'm glad I stopped in and had a chance to take in this amazing place
