Avenue Coffeehouse

We happened by Avenue Coffee House almost my accident on our way to Milwaukee to sightsee. We returned 3 more times after during the week we were in the area. The coffee is good, the pastries wholesome [for pastries!] and delicious and the owner/proprietress, Sara, is great. It is a community meeting spot, has solid wi-fi, and offers a quiet area to work in the back. The front is furnished with comfy furniture by sunny windows.

Aaron and Sara have created the friendliest atmosphere I have ever experienced. Great energy and warm conversation make this feel like your neighborhood coffee shop, even if you don't live here.

Very nice, clean, coffee was very tasty! Good variety of coffee's! Service was quick and polite! Coffee house was very busy with a slight wait! I will be going back!

Probably the best coffee you are going to get in South Milwaukee.

I didn't think such a place could exist in the ol' glorified trailer park know as South Milwaukee. Avenue far exceeds the other Ford Pinto esc options such as Dunkin' or McDonald's coffee.

Been there a few times and the Baristas were nice and provided good service. Would be nice to see some latte art, but again their espresso more than makes up for that.

Avenue has a pretty chill vibe and it feels like someone took a part of a Madison coffee shop and hid it in South Milwaukee.

Hope to see this coffee shop stick around as it is already #1 in my book for anything in South Milwaukee.

These guys are awesome. Unique drinks and super personable service. The decor is also really cute - it’s a great vibe for a casual date or a nice reading session tbh.

Love their Chai tea and coffee muffin. They're always friendly and quick.
