I got one of the best hot chocolets ive ever had! Im sure the coffee is just as good. Nice costomer service and the overall atmosphere of the place being like an older cafe is great to sit down with someone and chat endlessly. Highly recomend this place.

I love Travis! And the Frappes! The muffins! Very good food and service.

Great fresh coffee, for sure, but you have to get the egg and ham sandwich. It’s probably the best sandwich available through a drive through in town.

Every year for almost 10 years I come during fall to get their chiader. It is so delicious. The hot ham i got was so good, for being such a plain sandwich. Take it from me, if you're in town and need some good srink, food and atmosphere, check this place out^.^

Baristas were polite, courteous and order was exactly what I ordered. Got the Angry Pumpkin Latte and it was phenomenal. I would recommend this establishment over Starbucks any day!

LOVE the coffee and the staff, they are always so friendly. It's a nice place to hang out for long conversations, or a nice quiet place to study at. Comfortable seating, chill atmosphere.

This place has great coffee, much better than Starbucks. The food is fantastic- I often get "sick" or nauseous if I eat fastfood. Even subway or cousins subs will make me feel disgusting. The food at Z Spot has never left me feeling bad and I eat there 1-3 times a week. They are extremely clean and use high-quality ingredients in all their food. The ham sandwich and soups are amazing, but I'd especially recommend the psychedelic smoothie, which uses soy milk (I assume its non-dairy, so good for lactose intolerant). Everything costs a little bit more and/or come in smaller portions, but its well worth it to me. I'd rather pay an extra dollar or two and put food in my body that nourishes and won't leave me sick- as does fastfood.

I don't know why another reviewer felt offended when the barista told her it takes 6 minutes to make the sandwich, sometimes people just don't have the time to wait. I think said reviewer has something stuck up their rear or is ageist. I've never experienced any of the issues stated. Both Jeff and Travis are friendly and helpful when ordering, as are the rest of the staff.

I don't mind the $5 minimum for credit cards. I visit Madison regularly and several restaurants (like the Mermaid Cafe) don't accept credit/debt cards whatsoever! This is because of the dictatorial requirements credit card companies impose on merchants and the fees. I think more stores and coffee shops should ban plastic cards, and everybody should use them a little bit less.

The ham and cheese sandwich was way over priced. It looked as if they took a George Foreman grill and smashed it together with a tiny piece of cheese on a cheep hamburger bun, the soup was way over priced as well and had literally no taste to it. Besides the curb appeal this place will never get my business again.. sorry z spot.. :/
