This place definitely gets five stars for me. Very clean establishment and a very good menu. I will definitely recommend this place to my family and friends you get a very generous serving and ice cream is definitely off the hook!

Possibly the best little local food and ice cream place in downtown rice lake. In terms of service, food quality, and pricing it dwarfs the flying apron in all of these aspects. I guarantee satisfaction if you find yourself stopping in this wonderful little place.

This is a locally owned ice cream shop with a whole lot more! Sandwiches, locally made items, like fabulous caramel treats from Sugarwood, maple syrup, and more. Give them a try, you will not be disappointed!

The best cheese curds around! The Milk Pail has fresh cheese curds on Wednesdays - you should definitely try them! The parlor is really nicely done, completely remodeled, and has that rustic small-town charm. A must-stop if you're a local or just traveling through town.

Nice sandwiches and delicious ice cream. Soda shop stripped down 1950's diner decor. Reasonable prices.

The milk pail was closed for years and fortunately for all residents of Rice Lake has reopened. My family stopped by for our free 'scoop' of ice cream for signing up for text messages. We each got at least two giant scoops. The place is very clean and open. Highly recommended.

Honestly one of the best ice cream (and cheese) shops I have ever been too. It has a wonderful genuine vibe, with the widest variety of flavors I've seen at a single shop. Would highly recommend.

I used to walk here after school as a kid and belly up to the bar with a delicious scoop of ice cream. There's more belly now, but the ice cream is still delicious.
