Full disclosure - the owner and I attend the same church and she told me about her shop. Oh. My. Goodness. It is amazing. I’m a foodie and have been craving a really excellent breakfast/lunch spot since moving to Milwaukee 3 years ago. FOUND IT! Even though it’s 1/2 away, we will be regulars here. Perfectly crafted breads, wonderful breakfast, and out of this world sandwiches. The space is serene and happy. Not something I’d have expected in little Port Washington - it reminds me more of Poulaine in Paris - truly. If you’re nearby - maybe passing on I-43 - it’s worth a stop. Staff was very friendly and helpful and my 5 yo son enjoyed the children’s books they have to borrow. Really a hidden gem.

Nice selection of lunch sandwiches, which come with a choice of sides (good potato salad). Somewhat pricey. Excellent bakery, which is the true highlight. Breakfast is also available. Open only Fridays through Sundays, 6 AM to 3 PM.

Great bakery options! I believe I'd ordered a large mocha, but cup seemed small. Unfortunately, I was too distracted by the thought of the delicious doughnuts we had purchased to notice the size until we were halfway home. (I do not know what their large size is; if it is 16 oz, this may have been.)

We first thought this was a great find and would become one of our favorites. But there have been disappointments. If you pay a lot for coffee, you want it to be good. They have a fancy espresso machine, but what I got was not espresso. Ditto for regular coffee. In the past, almond scone was worth writing home about, but lately nothing special. Staff don't seem as confident and engaged as befits a place with this coffee shop / bakery's potential. This review sounds negative. It's not bad-- actually pretty good, just doesn't seem to live up to their potential.

The bakery is incredibly good - my favorites are the brioche donuts and the Scotch Mist rolls. Great breakfast and lunch options, good tea and coffee - the only drawback is it isn't open enough. Call to make sure they're open, first, and come early for the best bakery selection.

Super disappointed with speed of service. Line out the door with one lady on register who was bagging bakery, taking orders, slicing bread and pulling coffee. There's definitely a more efficient way to get your morning bakery and coffee fix.

It's so nice to have such a wonderful bakery in Port Washington. I visit at least twice a month to buy a baguette and almost always end up purchasing something sweet as well. The brioche donuts are incredible - my favorite is raspberry. The decor is very tasteful and the layout of the location allows you to watch the bakers work in the back kitchen area. This is a great place for breakfast and/or a light lunch with seating inside and small cafe tables outside on the sidewalk.

First time stopping in... Promised my 3 year old a donut last night. Oh... My... Didn't realize this was going to be the Cadillac of donuts. Just incredible! Sensational really. Will definitely be coming back!

Our food was served burned - beyond a crisp. What has happened to this once fantastic bakery?

Food is freshly made and delicious! Also has good location right in downtown Port Washington, near the lake. Be sure to check on their hours though if you decide to go, as they aren't open everyday, and hours are short (think it's breakfast and lunch only) on open days.
