The atmosphere and decor were incredible. I really wanted to like this place based on how precious it looks. But the staff is inexperienced. For example, they allowed us to order the benedict meal even though they were out of hollandaise sauce. We didn't find out until after they prepared the meal. Food was just okay.

Fat Cat is a great place to get coffee and a pastry and hang out. Lots of seating upstairs and on the main level. Food is prepared to order and very good with very good options. The decor was very eclectic. The pastries all looked quite appetizing and freshly made.

While in town for a wedding, I had the pleasure of stopping by this cafe not once, but twice. I couldn't resist making a second stop here after my great first experience!
On my first visit, I stopped in on an afternoon coffee and sweet tooth run, and ordered a small chai latte and a blueberry-lavender white chocolate scone. I sat inside close to the register, and enjoyed my fare before heading out for some shopping. The decor is simple and well done, and everything was very clean and organized.
Chai Latte - Perfection. Lightly sweet and perfectly spiced, this drink was a winner. +A
Blueberry-Lavender White Chocolate Scone - This was an impulse buy, because it just looked THAT good. And let me tell you, it was worth every penny. It was light and soft, with the perfect balance of sweet from the chocolate, tart from the blueberry, and earthy from the lavender. They even warmed it up for me, which was the icing on the cake. GREAT.
On our second visit, our whole group of 9 stopped in for breakfast on Sunday before leaving town. We were able to find enough room for our little group on the upper level of the cafe, and we all ordered a variety of breakfast foods, from crab and artichoke quiche to burritos, to avocado toast. Everyone loved their food, and they were all impressed that such a little cafe packed so much flavor into their dishes.
If you are in New Glarus, Fat Cat Coffee Works is worth the stop!

Stopped in today, I have to say this was the most flavorful coffee I have had in awhile. Thank you so much , we live in Fitchburg but we will be back!! Your shop is so cute I love it.

Adorable coffee shop with the best crab and artichoke quiche. Their other baked goods are also stellar, will definitely need to go back and try them all.

Latte was okay, burrito was better. The latte was just too weak and sort of bland tasting so we didn't finish it. The burritos are pre-made and reheated when ordered, so no customizations are available; still, they were hot & tasty. Ordered a muffin too, and it was amazing - would stop again just for the muffin. Window service was quick and easy.

First, I asked if I could have a burrito without the Tortilla and the answer was no. Okay, so they must be premade....I can handle that, but then I order the Cajun hash to go for my husband. I took it home and opened it to find ONE piece of meat.

You order and are then served. The amount of food per order seemed out 0f whack with the price
