Stone Creek Coffee - Downer Cafe & Kitchen

Amazing, ‘nuff said. Seriously, I’ve been going here for several years and it’s always been consistently good. From their cold brew to blended drinks as well as pastries (soon to be more food items too!), this place gets 5 stars in my book. No more Starbucks for me!

It's a descent place with a decent options for coffee and snacks.

This cafe has been my go-to since it first opened. The service is great, the coffee and food are excellent, and everyone is always so friendly and fun. It’s a great way to start your morning.

This is quite likely the best coffee shop I have ever been in. There is nothing I don't like about it. Great internet, plenty of room for work. Great coffee and customer service. The food looks amazing, will be trying that soon. Love this place!

Lovely atmosphere and friendly and knowledgeable staff. However, the quality of the coffee is subpar. I find Collectivo and even Starbucks to have better coffee. However, the outdoor patio and the ambiance is superior at this place. So, what is more important to you?

I give the overall design five stars, they need some improvement in the way that the cutlery is presented, so far it has water spots and soap marks. Also heavy Bass music at 5:45 a.m. on a Saturday morning is a little disconcerting.

That being said their food is truly beautiful, the preparation is highly artistic, and the space itself is a Wonder to behold.

We waited for months for them to open up, and now I have become a regular here. It is my destination spot at 5:30 on any given morning.

I've been in Milwaukee now two years, and there is a pretty fierce debate about who had the best coffee- Anodyne, Valentine, Collectivo- and all of the above are indeed fantastic. That being said- Stone Creek has and always will be my first choice- I discovered Radio Milwaukee before my move- and you can't listen for long without hearing about Stone Creek so admittedly I was excited to try it before even moving here. Man, I was not disappointed. Their passion and emphasis on the science behind the perfect cup, does indeed show in their flavors. They have a friendly and eclectic staff- and for the non coffee drinkers they have a great selection of local wine and beer. AND NOW THEY HAVE A CAFE! I'm lucky to be within a quick bike ride to the cafe on Downer- and I could not be more excited it's in my neighborhood! It's truly a gorgeous space with plenty of indoor/outdoor space to suit anyone's desires. ALSO THERE IS A WALK UP COFFEE WINDOW- can this get any better?? Pretty much because they have delicious food now! I would have posted a photo of my breakfast sandwich but it didn't last very long- All in all- 10/10. I'm drinking the cold brew koolaid.

Great staff, excellent coffee and espresso drinks, delicious bakery treats and breakfast sandwiches. One of my favorite go-to places before starting my day.

This coffee roaster has amazing coffees, baked goods and food. The breakfast sandwich is too-die-for! Friendly staff and lively atmosphere make it my favorite Milwaukee go-to coffee spot.

Best carry out 'fast casual' breakfast food in Milwaukee. The most friendly and engaging staff. Best coffee variety too. True to origin, values, and flavor.
