—-INITIAL REVIEW—-
This is frustrating because I like this place. I live across the street from the Fairgrounds at State and Astor. I’ve been there five times. Four out of the five times they’ve gotten it wrong.

—-UPDATE—-
Since this initial review I been back 3 times and they’ve nailed it. The GM introduced herself to me on my last visit (very nice lady!)

I’m a fan!

This place is just perfect for a nice low-key meal or drink! The ladies there were absolutely amazing and our drinks were made perfectly! There wasn't a long wait at all and they were very informative. If there was something you wanted they didn't have they will accommodate to something close you would like. The atmosphere is so rustic and laid back, made me want to pop open a book and drink more tea.

Had a not-so-ideal first experience, but it was likely a bad/rough day for the staff. Since then, its turned out to be a pleasant place to start the mornings and get some work done. It’s become one of my regular coffee spots. Good staff, nice spaced out setting/ambiance, and sourcing my favorite dark roast coffee from Whirlwind. Cheers

Its a very modern and nice coffeeshop that had amazing pour overs. The only complaint is that it is on the expensive side and the pour overs are in the espresso based drink price range. Get something on the side to eat and tip you have a $15 trip for a quick visit!

The food was good, I enjoyed the avocado toast although they had run out of the radish relish. I tried an elixir tea drink. I was thinking it would have been a bit larger for the price. They only take credit or debit so you cannot use cash. We had twin two year olds with us. I couldn't find booster seats and no one offered us an option for the toddlers to sit comfortably.

I usually visit Fairgrounds because it’s not too far from my workplace and the atmosphere for studying is good. I visited 09.29.22 and I was unaware of the menu change. The cashier proceeded to ring me up for a item that wasn’t on the menu which is not her fault, in my opinion. Anyways, the cook was really rude about it. Her tone of voice was very unpleasant so, unfortunately I will not be returning :(

Wanted to see what coffee shop offer, my recent visit at Juneau travel beer garden I saw from distance that day, so today on my adventurous walk decided to stop. Definitely recommend they offer great menu and coffee hot or cold including tea.
I am from Racine wi. I usually come to the lake front to walk, my usual stop would be sailloft restaurant which is unique place, love board walk has years of history...
Have a beautiful bless day.

Bright inviting coffee shop in a great neighborhood. We had breakfast tacos and iced cafe americanos. Food was simple and delicious. Would go back again.

Went in this past Sunday at noon
specifically for the açaí bowl. They were
out of them, so I just left.
I have a busy night tonight, and with
knowing they close at 3pm, I rush to get
there after work. Go to the counter to
order an açaí bowl. I was informed they
stop serving food at 2:30pm. I looked at
my watch, and it was 2:36. I keep giving
this place so many chances, but this is
absolutely pathetic.

Fairgrounds Coffee is a real cool coffee shop in the Lower East Side of MKE. Customer service is exceptional and they're more than happy to help! Their menu is really unique and has a lot of great options from classic breakfast to new takes on classics. Has a great atmosphere for a get together with friends, a spot to grab a casual coffee or to settle into some work as well. Great spot!
