Discourse Coffee - Downtown

Discourse is the most consistently intriguing cafe in the city. Their experimental coffee drinks challenge the palate and stimulate the senses. They also have excellent bakery items like the vegan chocolate tart and monkey bread. The staff are wonderful people and adept in making their guests feel welcome. This cafe is the kind of place that really enhances our city and is a must visit.

They serve the fanciest coffee I have ever had. The tea I had was perfectly balanced. I could test camomile tea with different fruit flavors they had in the tea. None of the ingredients over power the other. I have been told that they have a fixed menu and a varying menu.

Cute little place new MSOE. Regular coffee is good. The food was very good. I didn't try some of the speciality drinks but they looked amazing. Go for the food and speciality drinks.

Very cool hidden gem. Reminds me of a listening room. Cozy and intimate lighting, which are great for studying, and rainy day getaway, or a quick chat with a friend. The cocktails are creative and tasty too.

Love this spot. Tucked in and cozy. Drinks were delicious. House Vanilla Latte was superb.

The staff were really nice and provided recommendations, they have a variety of unique craft drinks. I played it safe and tried the salted maple latte and it was spot on. Will be back!

Possibly the best coffee/tea experience in Milwaukee. Unique drinks, great service, cozy atmosphere.

I grabbed a pour-over to go with some bakery. Got to chat with the staff while I waited and they are super friendly. The pour-over was great. Next visit, I'm going to sit for a while. The layout and furnishings look so comfortable.

I love this new spot!

Right across from MSOE’s campus center, this spot is amazingly convenient to stop into after/between classes. Also, the coffee is AMAZING and is clearly made with great care and attention to detail. Lastly, the fruit (cherry) pastry they make is to die for.

Ambience is modern and feels industrial-chic and fits right in next to the engineering school.
