My wife and I love the coffee and the atmosphere. We try to go here as much as possible. The only drawback is every time some hipster wants to get married, they close early for an "event". It's a good thing another (smaller) location is close by.

Good little hangout for a cup of coffee or a tasty pastry. The coffee is often made well, not too watered down, not burnt; however, the portions may be a little pricey. The environment is amazing, with a wide range of people doing a wide range of activities at any given moment. Various different shows and events take place throughout the week, making it more than just a coffee place. The music can sometimes get a little loud, and it is sometimes too crowded for convince.

I hadn't been to this Anodyne in a while because their chairs were SO awful. BUT they got new chairs!!! I sat there with a friend for over 2 hours and had no issue with the chairs! This makes me really happy because I like their coffee and espresso a lot! Great atmosphere and it's always fun to see a live music show or event here. Great space for small meetings and such as well.

Terrible experience at this place, On Wednesday 02/02/2022 at 7:30pm at The milwaukee public market location after having a lovely meal at St Paul’s we wanted to get some coffee. We stopped by since it was on our way out. The barista was in the corner chatting with someone obviously not working. She leaves the conversation and approaches the countertop. Proceeds to question us about not wearing masks and tells us that by company policy she cannot serve us coffee because we are not wearing masks. We told the young lady thank you and walked out. It’s just absurd to me that this is company policy, it’s absurd because there was a plastic shield between us, she was wearing a mask and the payment would’ve been done electronically. So she essentially was okay with approaching us not wearing masks but not serving us coffee. So it really makes me question the reasoning. Is it really in fear of Covid? ( she and I are most likely vaccinated).. is it laziness because it was near closing? Or was it just some mindless political narrative that they stand by? I think it’s just very disrespectful.

I would advise Anody to offer customers masks if they’re going to have such policy then maybe they won’t lose customers

Not that it’s relevant but,
I walked into the market wearing a mask, the lobster roll gets really buttery, I grabbed the mask and didn’t want to put it on my face anymore because I got butter on it.

What a gorgeous space and a great cup of coffee. I had an iced mocha with four shots of espresso and extra ice. The espresso had such a great flavor and the mocha wasn't so overpowering that I couldn't taste the coffee. The smell in the building is intoxicating. Seriously I want to move to Milwaukee so I can get coffee here everyday. I also had a cup of corn chowder and a slice of cake. Both were also very good! The barista who helped me was super cute and friendly too.

This is my favorite coffee shop. I docked one star due to horrible hours - randomly closed during business hours for events without warning. That is completely unacceptable. If not for that, I really love this place, so much room to get work done. And amazing coffee. The setting is an old laboratory. Parking is bad, get dropped off if you can.

My favorite coffee shop EVER. The baristas are so kind and personable, the space is excellent for spreading out to get work done, but still feels cozy, and the coffee/food tastes good. Great natural light. I've never felt more comfortable somewhere outside of home.

We had our wedding at Anodyne this past weekend and let me just say that everything was so perfect! Erica the wedding coordinator from Anodyne was a rock star! She was so easy to work with and responded quickly to our many emails. The bartenders were on point the whole night. The venue was cute & clean. Our guest total was 116 and we did not feel cramped. Our guests were raving about how adorable the venue was. I will update this review with photos once we get them back from our photographer. :) thank you all so much! We had a blast!

As a performer this venue is amazing. The green room is beautiful and the staff is very supportive. My band has played here twice (once for a wedding once for Halloween) and we can't wait to play again.

Fantastic coffee. I’ve been to a few of their locations and each provide a great atmosphere and coffee house experience. When I am not at one of their cafes, Anodyne coffee is the only coffee I use and enjoy at home. Highly recommend either their Mind Tonic or Nerve Tonic Espresso blends.
