They were open until 1pm, but when I came in at 12:38pm they said they were closed. I asked for soup with a roll. "To go right? Because we are closed" They were able to do that.
"Can I get a plastic spoon?"
"It's in the bag."

Get back to car so I can eat my soup..
No spoon.

Roasted squash soup was very spicy but without any true savory flavor.
Roll was a good texture and flavor but served cold.

The perks? The price. The cons? The whole experience.

Very pleasant on a cold winter's day.

Journey Into The Word

I simply love Beyond The Daily Grind. The atmosphere is perfect; the owners and host are the best. It's not loud; it's not overcrowded; it pleasantly; pleasingly quaintly; yet a unique spacious place . It's affordable and the food is delicious.

Was actually not impressed with the attitude that was being given off by the staff. I had no idea asking for some napkins was such a big or difficult but apparently its worthy of an eye roll and a sigh here. She must not have appreciated the trees that were harvested to make the napkins I requested. Next time I won't clean up after myself, for the eco system ya know..

What a lovely place! My coworker and I stopped for lunch on our way to Milwaukee. The meal was a true home cooked meal. Great service from the owner herself!

I just happened upon this place and I love it! I had an excellent cappuccino, tuna melt, and a great squash soup. The service was very warm and they were so fast!

Show up for a quick lunch bite and had the owner talk my ear off about religion while i tried to eat which is extremely inappropriate. I mean wow I need some food not saved and to be honest the food left much to be desired. This will be my first and last visit.

LOVED being offered hot water for my supplement packet.
And then...brat soup with lobster scones?!
Yes, please!
Meal ended with hot cocoa, thankfully just the right amount of sweet💜💜💜

Had an omelette and Hashbrowns.. there was an attempt to brown the outside potatoes but inside they were complete mush.. Mustard would have helped that but the container was stopped up.. Ran out of coffee as well.. Not one fill up! the waitress never came back to the table after serving my food.. Very disappointed because it was really a quaint little place I should have been able to enjoy.
