Valentia is such a cute coffee shop and it's just starting off. It's beautifully decorated and has a great music selection which all add to the wonderful atmosphere. Not to mention that the employees really do care. When I ordered something the woman making it came up to me to offer me alternatives because I asked for no onions and then brought out my (delicious) avocado toast personally right to my table. 10/10 recommend.

I come here basically every day. Best coffee and best people around (:

Good coffee, nice atmosphere, but not somewhere to go if your phone or laptop batteries are dying because the outlets are few. Also, no discount on refills (or at least that was offered when I ordered a second cup in the same cup I got my original dark roast in). Definitely a better cup of coffee than the standard Starbucks.

Way too expensive. Coffee is fine, nothing special, but the price tag is hugely high. A good 50% higher than anywhere else for espresso drinks (a latte that is $4.35 at Starbucks is about $5.50 here) Not only is this spot expensive and pretentious, but slow as heck. I just had to leave after waiting 10 minutes with zero people in front of me and didn't even get my order taken. This is a place that doesn't care about customer service, despite demanding a high cost. Avoid if you can!

Excellent!!! Perfectly frothy milk foam atop my flavorful Miel latte. As a former barista, this coffee exceeded my standards! The barista even made latte art in our drinks. :)

I love this coffee shop! I have come here almost every day since class started so you could say I'm a regular. The coffee is flavorful and prices are on par with the rest of the coffee shops on campus. My favorite thing to do is order "for here" and you get your drink in these amazing huge coffee mugs!!

Super sunny space, STRONG solid cold brew, good sandwiches, and indulgent cinnamon buns (when they have them--go early, they tend to run out). Love that everything on the menu has a homemade feel, but the problem with that is consistency--the size of the ciabatta rolls for the sandwiches or the cookies is allll over the place (some days gigantic, some days small, some days well done, some days light) and sometimes the normally amazing cold brew tastes burnt like they poured regular coffee over ice. They always seem to be training new people, so just speak up if something isn't how it was the day before--the staff is kind and always willing to fix it!

The slowest place to get a coffee in Madison. Turnover is ridiculous so you're almost guaranteed to get a burned coffee from a newbie. Obnoxious staff, especially the manager. The coffee is mediocre and the tip selection on the iPad is automatically too high. There isn't any soy offered so you have to ask and then they pour it for you because, "we gotta be greedy with something," even if you're lactose intolerant. They do have excellent cinnamon rolls and an excellent location, leaving them as the only option when you're in the area and in a pinch.

I never really liked coffee, but I stopped in here and had a cup. It was delicious. Great staff. Very welcoming. Stop when you have time! I will be back all the time.

I often hated hot coffees from the fast-coffee shops, but Valentia made the most delicious hot lattes for me! I can tell that the baristas really made the coffees to serve the customers, and not just for the sake of making them. I just hope they will add white chocolate in their flavor list, so I can get my white choc mocha! They can get a lil bit crowded during rush hours, but I usually managed to get a seat whenever I came around :)
