Loved this coffee shop! Good coffee and sandwiches at a good price. The woman running it was super friendly and helpful, and she advised us on some fun things to do during the off season around the island. Came back a second time for more coffee!

We spent the last two days on Madeline Island. I stopped for coffee both mornings, the rolls are good the coffee is really good. This morning I ordered a chocolate chip cookie, she asked me if I wanted it well done or raw! I laughed out loud because I had never heard that before. So it's a fun place, stop by.

There is truly nothing to complain about in this shop. It is an eccentric woman's place and you are obviously not intended to sit inside 😝 Plenty of outdoor seating. If you enjoy a conversation with your barista and a family run atmosphere, this is a good choice. Coffee and a bfast sammy is just a bonus. Lots of things to look at. Fold it back up if you unfold a shirt. Follow the rules if you don't like a mess! This ain't your momma's house.

Shop is a mess, disorganized, placing orders and transactions are a process. Not busy but it took FOREVER for the older lady to take and process orders. Her husband sat and did nothing while her 20 something grandson talked about drunken friends while also did not lend a hand . Keep in mind all they do is coffee, sandwiches and cookies. My sandwich had two hairs and I never received the cookies. Wasn’t going to go through the process to try and get them . Husband and adult grandson also didn’t get the outdoor tables set up for Memorial Day weekend.

As the only open coffee spot on the island, we had no choice but to stop in. The woman ignored us while she worked on a crossword puzzle. When she felt like it she took our order with no hospitable manner whatsoever. I asked if she’d cut the roll in half. She slapped a knife on the counter saying ”I’ve got 4 kids. I don’t cut up food for anyone!” The roll was dry, maybe day old? The coffee was good. However, her manner was very unfriendly for a place that makes it’s living off of tourists. And the shop was a dirty mess.

i ordered a mocha coffe and the lady took plain coffee and just added in chocolate syrup, and i asked for a lid and was told there was no more,
but when i was seated outside i saw people who had came in after me with lids on their coffee, when i tried to ask for a lid a second time she still refused to give me a lid.

Great sandwiches and nice service staff.
It’s kind of small and only has four dining tables—two of which were covered stuff in they apparently couldn’t find shelf space for.
The remaining two tables were usually taken, even on a slow day. If they would just clear off their other two tables, the dining area would be more welcoming and less cluttered.

It's a little chaotic in here. Stuff laying on top of stuff and seems unorganized. But the coffee was good and that's all that mattered.
I recommend this place.

I believe Marie is the only coffee place on the island open year round. Either way, she and her staff are always very kind and the coffee is always really good. A latte with some of the honey on the counter is one of my favorite things to have while I sit out front of the shop and look at the lake and our version of a town square.
