The coffee is the same as The Charmont in lacrosse, which is really good. But I dont know if the baristas are well trained enough here. It is not nearly as good and the service isnt great. I loved that when I walked in in the morning I was greeted, but the cost is very high and it doesnt smell like a great coffee shop. The wait time is too long as well. Hopefully a lot of this will improve as they get in the groove of things but for now I plan on sticking with my usual coffeeshop. There they know my name and order and are fast with service at a much more reasonable price. I hope the grind becomes the classy high quality coffee shop it is advertised as but for now, not quite worth it for me.
Update: it is a little better, mocha taste okay but no latte art and the espresso didn't have a ton of flavor. Bumped it up to 4 stars as it has improved but is still not quiet worth the price.

Cute place, cozy atmosphere, beautiful decor and delicious coffee and sandwiches. I cannot recommended this place enough for anyone looking for a local coffee house to get a delicious cup of joe in the morning. The barista, Zach, was super polite and nice and handsome, and he definitely deserves a raise for his hard and diligent work he does for the company.

Staff is always friendly, and it's a warm, inviting place.

The espresso is really good here!! I like the Wonderstate coffee (Kickapoo) they support local regional coffee it’s great. I see they offer food now and it’s quality stuff!! Better than other places in Holmen.
Love their no straw lids for iced coffees.. they make all around great coffee drinks. My favs are the hot Cappuccino or Iced Mocha
Love the staff so nice and friendly every time! Can you tell it’s my fav coffee??

Best coffee in the area in my personal opinion
Update: Today was a horrible experience. I go with a usual iced vanilla latte with oat milk and my wife gets an iced vanilla lavender latte with oat milk. I was in a hurry to get back to work so I didn't try either of them until a few minutes after I left. They were both undrinkable. There was such an overbearing amount of vanilla and lavender that I was unable to taste the coffee itself. I had my wife try hers when I got home and we just had to throw them out and make coffee at home which was a shame. We've been about 20 times and the coffee has always been incredible until today which really disappointed us.
I also was wondering if I could get confirmation on how the punch cards work? Some days, I receive two punches for two drinks and most days I get one punch for buying two drinks. Is it based on visits or drinks like the punch card states on the back?
Thanks

I stopped in the day they opened and have been back almost every day since. The baristas are always smiling and open to my joking demeanor. I've been through four of their beverages and have settled on my favorite. The double shot mocha latte is amazing! Have had one every morning since that day that I got to that point In their menu. Also TRY THE BANANA BREAD AND THANK ME LATER!!!!!!

The Grind is now my favorite coffee shop ever! When I walk into the door I always get greeted by someone and the atmosphere is so welcoming. Even better they serve Kickapoo Coffee which is the best coffee I have ever had and their Iced White Chocolate Lattes are to die for!!! I definitely recommend going there:)

I'm a Rochester transplant to the beautiful area of Trempealeau. Coffee houses are all over where I come from. I was so happy to come across this place after moving here. It has such a warm inviting atmosphere. After multiple visits I am sold on this wonderful place. I highly recommend sampling as much as you can. And the pastries and baked goods are too die for!

I've given the grind too many chances over the years. This place is poorly ran, unhygienic, and they don't know how to prepare espresso and tea. There's a reason it's never busy, and I implore anyone considering a trip there to consider one of the chains in Onalaska instead. As an example:
- Washing the exterior windows with some kind of cleaner and meeting me inside, taking my order, and making my coffee without washing their hands (there's now window cleaner all over the equipment and food prep)
- Forgetting about my order until I came up and reminded them
- Inconsistent quality of coffee and tea--some employees will make it OK, some have no idea what they're doing, some will make you caf when you want decaf, etc.
I've been here countless times as I really appreciate having a local coffeehouse, but this place is so poorly ran that I'll drive an extra 10 minutes to avoid it.

Wonderful little coffee shop. We sat outside on a beautiful morning and enjoyed our coffee. I had a pumpkin spice latte and it just had too much of some sort of spice for my liking. But would definitely go back next time I'm in LaX
