Love this place! Wonderful atmosphere, the food is great (get the pancakes with blueberries and wild rice), the coffee is good, and Cindy is a wonderful hostess. We frequently come off the Namekagon at their canoe access but it's also close to biking, skiing, ATV/snowmobile trails. Could not ask for more in such a wonderful Northwoods setting. We eat here often and would recommend to anyone.

It's a Saturday afternoon after a northern Wisconsin snow storm and I've given a couple of friends a ride to a funeral in a town about 40 minutes away from home, but I don't know the person who died or their family, so I'm just going to hang out for a couple hours. I drove down to Seeley and saw the open sign for mooselips Java joint. I went in and got mocha and a scone and some kind of chicken Thai soup. The 2 Baristas were extremely friendly, the prices were very reasonable, service was excellent, and the bar next Door was very busy with snowmobilers but the cafe was quiet and peaceful. It was super nice atmosphere for reading the newspaper and doing a little work online on my phone and waiting for the call that my friends were ready to be picked up. Nothing much happens in Seeley except snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, and biking in the summertime but I highly recommend this little Java joint. Well worth the stop literally a few feet off the highway.
