Very nice renovation. Service was peculiar...
At around 12:30 PM, I entered and greeted the barista (silver-haired guy in his early 50s, I'd say) and asked for a 12 oz dark roast with no room. He was thrown by the "no room" request and asked me to repeat it.
Instead of something neutral like, "I'm sorry. I'm not familiar with the phrase 'no room'...", he got a bit squirrely on me--sorta smarmy, sorta snarky. (Think "bartender," not "barista.")
His coworker, seated at a table in the seating area, jumped in and shouted, "It means no room for cream."
Once he understood my order, he pressed the "Brew" button on the automatic drip machine, to begin brewing an urn of dark roast. (Even though it was 12:30 PM and not 6:30 PM, it appears Kaffeehaus chooses not to replenish fresh drip coffee until it's absolutely needed...)
I rolled with it, thinking, "Well, it'll certainly be fresh..."--even though coffee shouldn't be tapped mid-cycle, because the entire cycle is what creates the properly-balanced end product.
The barista positioned my paper cup beneath the spigot of the brew machine, and as the cycle was taking place, he would occasionally return to the machine and pull the lever, filling my paper cup with as much coffee as was available to him at that time.
He did this three times to achieve a full 12 oz cup--leaving the top of my cup open the entire time he waited for enough coffee to fill a 12 oz cup to pass through the grounds and the filter.
Eventually he achieved a full cup, capped it and handed it to me. I thanked him and went on my way.
I like my coffee dark--almost chewy--but I discovered in my car, as I was leaving, that this particular cup of coffee was mud. Furthermore, it was lukewarm. I could've chugged it.
Disappointing.
I think this particular barista would benefit from additional training.
Incidentally, I noticed all of the baked goods (Troubadour) were wrapped separately in plastic wrap. It would appear that Kaffeehaus is trying to extend the shelf life of these Troubadour products, instead of ordering less quantity and/or accepting the daily loss.
But scones and muffins and iced cinnamon rolls *should* be a same-day product; they should not be sold (wrapped in cling wrap, or not) for full price on Day 2 or Day 3.
Bottom line: waiting to brew drip coffee until an order has been placed, and wrapping all baked goods in cling wrap to extend shelf life, is cutting corners. And that's no fun, from the standpoint of an unsuspecting consumer.
Again, the physical renovation is very nice, but if you're gonna open up a coffee shop, do it right (and accept the loss margins)--or don't do it.

It's basically a satellite stone creek and tastes about as good.

For being so close to home, this is a great option when I don't feel like driving all the way to Collectivo. My usual drink of choice always turns out great!
